    Iglesias allowed a run on a hit and a walk over one inning Friday. He earned a save over the Mets.

    Advice: Iglesias coughed up an RBI single to Pete Alonso with two outs in the ninth but was able to close out the 4-2 victory. Iglesias has now converted 10 of his 12 save chances this year while posting a 10:4 K:BB through 15.1 innings.     Jalen Beeks hurled a scoreless ninth to procure a save Friday against the Rangers.

    Advice: It’s the second save of the season for Beeks, and the seventh of his MLB career. The scoreless inning also lowered his ERA to 2.45, and with Justin Lawrence struggling — Lawrence came in to pitch the seventh and walked in the tying run — he could see more chances over the summer months.     Hader earned the save in Friday's 5-2 win over the Tigers, working around a walk while striking out two in a scoreless inning.

    Raisel Iglesias closed out the Mets for his 10th save of the season Friday despite allowing an earned run.

    Advice: Results wise, Iglesias has been great this season with a 2.35 ERA. There’s some fear of regression though with a paltry 16.1 K%, by far the lowest of his career. A.J.     Javier Assad was lifted after allowing two runs — one earned — in 4 1/3 innings Friday against the Pirates.

    Advice: Assad was pulled from a 2-2 game after giving up a single with one out in the fifth. He pitched rather well tonight in striking out four and giving up four hard-hit balls and four hits, but his pitch count was driven up by some long at-bats.   • Jhoan Duran gets hold against Blue Jays
    Jhoan Duran pitched a hitless eighth against the Blue Jays for his third hold Friday.

    Advice: Everything seemed great when Duran notched saves in his first two appearances back from the IL, but he’s been asked to pitch the eighth in three of four outings since. It’s strictly a leverage thing, but it’s annoying for us fantasy leaguers. Duran has been practically perfect since being activated, allowing a total of two hits in six scoreless innings.   • Griffin Jax earns fifth save for Twins
    Griffin Jax recorded his fifth save despite giving up a run in the ninth to the Blue Jays on Friday.

    Advice: The Twins again opted to give Jhoan Duran what looked like the tougher assignment in the eighth. Jax came in with a two-run lead in the ninth and allowed a walk and two singles before finishing off the Blue Jays.   • Clay Holmes walks tightrope, escapes with save
    Clay Holmes walked the tightrope in the ninth inning on Friday night, but escaped with his 12th save of the season after stranding the bases loaded with a two-run lead.

    Advice: Holmes — who has yet to allow an earned run through 17 1/3 innings to begin the season — really had to work in this one. He issued a leadoff walk to Yandy Díaz and a one-out walk to Josh Lowe — striking out Randy Arozarena and Isaac Paredes in-between. He then allowed a two-out single to Austin Shenton that loaded the bases before striking out Jonny DeLuca after a six-pitch battle to end it.   • Josh Hader slams door on Tigers on Friday night
    Josh Hader picked up his fifth save of the season on Friday night, working a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a three-run advantage against the Tigers.

    Advice: After struggling for most of the season, Hader recorded saves on back-to-back nights for the first time all season. The 30-year-old southpaw did issue a two-out walk to Jake Rogers after getting Ryan Vilade on a swinging-third strike, Javier Baez on a fly ball to center, but he battled back to get Andy Ibanez on strikes to end it. He has now converted five of his first six save chances with an impressive 27/8 K/BB ratio over 17 innings on the year — it’s just the 5.29 ERA that looks horribly out of place.
