• Missing from Tuesday's lineup
Caballero is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Caballero will get a day off Tuesday, giving way to Amed Rosario at shortstop. Caballero owns a .257/.315/.365 slash line across 164 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:00 pm
  • Swipes bag in win
Lopez went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's extra-inning win over the Brewers.

Advice: Making another start at second base, Lopez continued a strong stretch that has seen him slash .306/.350/.528 over the last 11 games with two homers, a steal, four runs and eight RBI. The 25-year-old has been forming an effective double-play duo with Vidal Brujan of late, but with Tim Anderson (back) poised to come off the IL, it's not clear how the Marlins will divvy up playing time at the middle-infield spots between the three players. Lopez has played well enough to remain in a significant role, however. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:20 am

  • Otto Lopez contributes game-tying hit vs. Brewers
Otto Lopez hit a game-tying single in the ninth inning on Monday in the Marlins’ eventual extra-inning win over the Brewers.

Advice: Lopez came through with a clutch single to right field against Brewers closer Trevor Megill, which allowed Nick Gordon to race around and score easily from second base. The 25-year-old finds himself playing regularly for the Marlins at the moment and has come through with a solid .296/.339/.519 triple-slash line with three homers and two steals in 59 plate appearances so far. • Xander Bogaerts out with shoulder inflammation
The Padres are calling Xander Bogaerts’ injury left shoulder inflammation.

Advice: It’s an odd diagnosis, being that this was a sudden injury sustained while diving for a ball, but it’s what we’re left with after the Padres couldn’t initially find anything serious going on within the shoulder. He obviously was not included in the lineup for the second game of today’s doubleheader. Rotoworld Monday, 4:16 pm

  • Jorge Polanco (hamstring) available off bench
Jorge Polanco, again out of the lineup with his hamstring tightness, will be available off the bench Monday, according to manager Scott Servais.

Advice: It’s his sixth straight day out of the lineup, which is a lot for “tightness.” Luis Urías continues to fill in for him, with Josh Rojas moving from third to second. Rotoworld Monday, 2:14 pm

  • Available off bench
Mariners manager Scott Servais said that Polanco (hamstring) will be available off the bench Monday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Polanco is missing a sixth straight start Monday, but he's progressed enough with his right hamstring issue that he could enter mid-game, if needed. It would appear he'll have a shot to be back in the lineup Tuesday. Rotowire.com Monday, 2:14 pm

  • Initial tests good on Xander Bogaerts’ shoulder
The Padres said that the initial imaging on Xander Bogaerts’ shoulder came back negative.

Advice: Hopefully, this will prove to be a day-to-day situation. We might know more later today. Rotoworld Monday, 1:17 pm

  • Held out again Monday
Polanco (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: The Mariners have not yet made a roster move with Polanco, but he will miss a sixth straight start Monday with a right hamstring issue. Josh Rojas will handle second base while Luis Urias plays third base. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:09 pm

  • Initial imaging returns negative
Bogaerts had preliminary imaging on his left shoulder come back negative Monday, though the Padres are awaiting additional test results, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Advice: The veteran infielder exited Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader after he suffered the injury while making a diving stop at second base. Bogaerts likely won't be available for Monday's nightcap, but he should be considered day-to-day until more information is available. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:44 pm
