• Josh Naylor drives in go-ahead run
Josh Naylor went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in the Guardians’ 2-1 win over the Tigers on Wednesday.

Advice: Naylor smacked a hard chopper just past Colt Keith’s outstretched glove to drive home his brother Bo and put his Guardians ahead in the bottom of the eighth inning. Overall, Naylor has had a July to forget with just a .215/.311/.338 slash line. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:09 pm

  • Taking seat Wednesday
Mountcastle is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: After going 0-for-8 with three strikeouts in the Orioles' series with the Rangers over the weekend, Mountcastle bounced back with a pair of hits in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to Miami. He'll cede a start at first base to Ryan O'Hearn on Wednesday, but Mountcastle's spot in the Orioles' everyday lineup still appears fairly secure. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:36 pm

  • Matt Olson has two hits in loss
Matt Olson went 2-for-5 with a run scored in a loss to the Reds on Wednesday.

Advice: It’s been a rough month of July for Olson, who came into today hitting 7-for-62 (.113) in 17 games coming into today. His pull rates have been down from what we’re used to seeing and his 50 percent groundball rate is almost 13 percent above his career average. That may have a lot to do with why we’re not seeing the power output from Olson, but with Ronald Acuna Jr., Ozzie Albies, and Michael Harris II not in the lineup, pitchers can afford to pitch around Olson more. • Tellez homers in win over Cardinals
Rowdy Tellez went 2-for-3 with a home run in a 5-0 win over the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Advice: Tellez was pushed into the starting rotation against a left-handed pitcher when Bryan Reynolds was scratched with a back injury and Tellez delivered. He had two of the three hardest-hit balls of the day, with a 108.1 mph single and a 108.8 mph home run that traveled 447 feet. He has slowed a little in July after his torrid streak to end June, but Tellez remains a solid deep league corner infield target. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:18 pm

  • Jhonkensy Noel making third straight start
Jhonkensy Noel is batting fifth and starting at designated hitter for the Guardians on Wednesday.

Advice: This is now Noel’s third straight start. The first two were against left-handed pitchers, which is normal for the power-hitting infielder, but today Noel will draw a start with Jack Flaherty on the mound. The 23-year-old has electric power and has hit five home runs in 48 plate appearances so far in his first big league stint; however, he also has a 37.5 percent strikeout rate. Until he gets that in check, his fantasy opportunities may be limited, but this recent stretch of playing time is nice to see. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:05 pm

  • Late addition to lineup
Tellez will start at first base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Though he had been scheduled to receive Wednesday's game off with a lefty (Matthew Liberatore) taking the hill for the Cardinals, Tellez was added to the lineup after Bryan Reynolds (back) was scratched from the starting nine. Connor Joe had been slated to fill in for Tellez at first base but will instead replace Reynolds in the outfield. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:50 am

  • Taking day off against lefty
Tellez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Connor Joe will fill in at first base for the lefty-hitting Tellez, who takes a seat while the Cardinals send southpaw Matthew Liberatore to the mound. Tellez has gotten off to a nice start to the second half of the season, going 3-for-11 with a double, a walk and three RBI through the Pirates' first five games. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:13 am

  • Reaches base in return
Bryant went 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts Tuesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Bryant was activated from the injured list Tuesday after being sidelined since June 2. He hit fifth and notably played in right field, pushing Charlie Blackmon to designated hitter and Jake Cave out of the lineup. Bryant has managed only 105 plate appearances for the season due to back and oblique injuries, so he's also likely to make appearances as the designated hitter. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:07 am

  • Ends power drought Tuesday
Turner went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Rays.

Advice: The veteran slugger went back-to-back with Vladimir Guerrero in the sixth inning off Manuel Rodriguez to account for all of the Jays' offense on the night. Turner snapped a 21-game homer drought with the blast, a stretch in which he managed only two doubles and seven RBI while slashing .219/.348/.247. Given that he only signed a one-year deal with Toronto in January, Turner is one of the players the team will be looking to move by the trade deadline, so a hot streak to close out July could net the Jays a slightly better return.
