• Michael Massey homers, knocks in four for Royals
Michael Massey had a three-run homer and an RBI groundout Wednesday as the Royals topped the Blue Jays 6-1.

Advice: Massey’s 357-foot homer off Nate Pearson put the game away in the eighth. The second baseman also homered Tuesday. He was held out of the starting lineup three times in his first 10 games back from a season-opening IL stint due to back tightness, including once against a righty, but as long as he keeps hitting, he should hold off Adam Frazier and be a fixture against righties. He’ll still likely do some sitting versus lefties. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago
  • Addison Barger goes 0-for-3 against Royals
Addison Barger went 0-for-3 on Wednesday, leaving him 1-for-18 to start his career.

Advice: Two strikeouts and a weak grounder today. Barger has been on base just once in five games, collecting a lone single, and he’s struck out six times. He’ll need to pick it up if he’s going to survive Kevin Kiermaier’s eventual return. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago

  • Byron Buxton (knee) will undergo MRI
Byron Buxton will undergo an MRI exam on his injured right knee after leaving Wednesday’s game against the White Sox.

Advice: Buxton pulled up on a stolen base attempt during the game and had to be helped off the field. It looks likely that the oft-injured outfielder is heading to the injured list once again, but the Twins will wait and see what the imaging shows before addressing the situation publicly. • Back in action Wednesday
Rodriguez (hand) will start in center field and will bat leadoff Wednesday for Double-A Wichita in its matchup with Northwest Arkansas.

Advice: Rodriguez is back in action after he hadn't played since April 24 due to the hand injury he sustained while sliding into second base on a stolen-base attempt in a game against San Antonio. The 21-year-old outfielder had gotten off to a strong start to the season for Wichita before suffering the injury, slashing .294/.507/.686 with four home runs and nine stolen bases in 73 plate appearances. • Willi Castro goes 3-for-5, steals base
Willi Castro went 3-for-5 with a triple, a double and a stolen base Wednesday as the Twins took down the White Sox 10-5.

Advice: Castro has really warmed up, going 16-for-35 with eight RBI in his last eight games. That’s raised his OPS from .538 to 789. He was in line to lose playing time due to Carlos Correa’s return, but the hot streak has changed that, and now that Byron Buxton is down, there’s little doubt that Castro will stay in the lineup for a while. He’s an option for teams in need of steals. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago

  • Tommy Pham homers in loss to Twins
Tommy Pham homered and doubled in the loss to the Twins on Wednesday.

Advice: Pham is 9-for-24 with just two strikeouts in six games since joining the White Sox. He’s going to have to hit better than usual and keep running like he did last season in order to be of use in mixed leagues while playing for such an awful team. We’re not optimistic, but he’s certainly off to a great start. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago

  • Getting routine day off
Nimmo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: According to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, manager Carlos Mendoza said pregame that Nimmo is getting a routine day off after having started in all but one of the Mets' first 29 games of the season. Tyrone Taylor will replace Nimmo in left field and atop the batting order. Rotowire.com Today, 2:20 pm

  • Returns to bench Wednesday
Canario is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Advice: Canario is back on the bench Wednesday after going 1-for-2 at the dish in Tuesday's 4-2 loss. He's now been excluded from the lineup five times in the past six games and doesn't look as though he'll benefit much from the absences of fellow outfielders Cody Bellinger (ribs) and Seiya Suzuki (oblique). • Dealing with knee injury
Buxton was removed in the second inning of Wednesday's game against the White Sox was due to right knee soreness, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Buxton tweaked his knee on a stolen-base attempt in the top of the second inning and was removed in the bottom half of the frame. The injury is to the same knee in which he underwent surgery twice, with the most recent operation occurring last October. It's not clear at this point how big of a setback Buxton might be dealing with, but the Twins could offer more detail on his condition after the game. Rotowire.com Today, 12:44 pm
