• Angels recall Michael Stefanic from Triple-A
Angels recalled INF Michael Stefanic from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: Stefanic, 28, has excelled in 19 minor league games so far this season, hitting .334/.440/.426 with zero homers, 13 RBI, one stolen base and a 5/12 K/BB ratio over 76 plate appearances. A better real-life player than a fantasy asset, Stefanic will replace Kyren Paris as the Angels’ primary reserve infielder. Rotoworld 57 minutes ago

  • Angels option Kyren Paris to Triple-A Salt Lake
Angels optioned INF Kyren Paris to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: The 22-year-old infielder has been absolutely atrocious in 59 plate appearances for the Angels this season — hitting .118/.224/.216 with one homer, five RBI and a 17/7 K/BB ratio. He’ll return to an everyday role at the Triple-A level until he’s needed once more. Michael Stefanic was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move on Saturday. Rotoworld 59 minutes ago

  • Beginning assignment Tuesday
Manager Pat Murphy said Saturday that Mitchell (finger) is slated to begin playing in minor-league rehab games Tuesday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Mitchell will participate in live batting practice over the weekend before heading to one of Milwaukee's minor-league affiliates. Assuming all goes well during BP and his rehab games, the speedy outfielder remains on track to return to the Brewers on June 17. Rotowire.com Today, 2:14 pm

  • Removed from game after collision
Keith was removed from Saturday's game against the Brewers in the third inning after colliding with Akil Baddoo while tracking down a fly ball, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Keith was running full speed toward the foul line in right field and collided with Akil Baddoo as the ball dropped. The second baseman looked to be grabbing at his left leg before walking back to the dugout unassisted. Zach McKinstry replaced Keith at second base. A status update on Keith should come later Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 2:09 pm

  • Colt Keith leaves game after collision in outfield
Colt Keith was removed from Saturday’s battle against the Brewers after he collided with teammate Akil Baddoo in shallow right field.

Advice: It’s not immediately clear where he took the brunt of the full-speed collision, but he was obviously shaken up afterwards. The good news, is that he was able to walk off the field under his own power. Expect him to head for further evaluation — and perhaps a trip through the concussion protocol. The Tigers should have an update on his status after the game. Rotoworld Today, 2:09 pm

  • Late scratch Saturday
Moreno (undisclosed) was scratched from the Diamondbacks' lineup prior to Saturday's game against the Padres.

Advice: No word yet on why Moreno was taken out of the lineup, but the Diamondbacks will likely give an update on his status in the near future. In the meantime, Tucker Barnhart will catch for Ryne Nelson and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 1:30 pm

  • Scratched from lineup
Marte (undisclosed) was scratched from Arizona's lineup ahead of Saturday's game versus the Padres.

Advice: The Diamondbacks have not yet provided a reason for Marte's removal from the lineup, but they should offer some clarity relatively soon. Blaze Alexander will enter as the replacement second baseman while batting sixth. Rotowire.com Today, 1:27 pm

  • Ketel Marte (back) scratched from D’Backs’ lineup
Ketel Marte (back) was scratched from the Diamondbacks’ starting lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Padres.

Advice: Marte appeared to tweak his back during his final at-bat on Friday night and that seems to be the reason that he was scratched from Saturday’s lineup. The fact that he was in the initial lineup is at least encouraging though, so he should be considered day-to-day until we hear otherwise. Rotoworld Today, 1:27 pm

  • Garrett Mitchell starting rehab assignment Tuesday
Garrett Mitchell (finger) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday.

Advice: Mitchell has been on the shelf since spring training recovering from a fractured left finger. The 25-year-old has some contact issues to address, but has some power/speed impact potential, which is enough to keep him on fantasy radar screens, if he can stay healthy. Rotoworld Today, 11:58 am
