    • Ramirez blasts 23rd home run in win Saturday
Jose Ramirez went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, a double, a solo home run and two RBI against the Royals on Saturday.

Advice: Ramirez’ home run was his 23rd of the season. He had an RBI double in the fifth inning to give the Guardians a 4-2 lead. He scored on Josh Naylor’s RBI double to make it 5-2 and his home run in the seventh inning made it 7-2. Ramirez is hitting .280 with an .890 OPS and 75 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Today, 4:05 pm
    • Ragans allows five runs in loss Saturday
Cole Ragans allowed five runs in 4 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday.

Advice: Ragans gave up six hits, walked one and struck out six. This start broke a streak of five consecutive quality starts for Ragans. He has a 3.33 ERA and 3.11 xFIP on the year. The 26-year-old left-hander is set to face the Rockies on the road next week.

    • Nolan Jones goes deep in loss to White Sox
Nolan Jones went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer against the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Jones took Jonathan Cannon deep for a two-run shot in the fifth inning. It was only his third home run of the season as he’s struggled to a .192/.298/.323 slash line, striking out 33.1 percent of the time across 151 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 1:53 pm

    • Day off Saturday
Mountcastle isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Mountcastle will get a day to regroup Saturday after going 0-for-10 at the plate over his last three games. Ryan O'Hearn will fill in for Mountcastle at first base, moving Heston Kjerstad into the DH spot while Colton Cowser picks up another start in left field. Rotowire.com Today, 1:37 pm

    • Ryan Mountcastle absent from O’s lineup Saturday
Ryan Mountcastle is not in the Orioles’ starting lineup for Saturday night’s showdown against the Rangers.

Advice: It appears to be nothing more than a routine night off for the 27-year-old slugger. Ryan O’Hearn will spell Mountcastle at first base, allowing Heston Kjerstad to function as the team’s designated hitter while Colton Cowser covers left field against Michael Lorenzen and the Rangers on Friday evening in Baltimore. • Idle Saturday
Murphy isn't in Atlanta's lineup for Saturday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Murphy has gone just 3-for-17 with three strikeouts and four walks over his last six games, and he'll get a day to regroup Saturday as Atlanta faces Paul Skenes and the Pirates. Travis d'Arnaud will start behind the plate instead and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Today, 10:52 am

    • CJ Abrams in Saturday’s lineup after HBP on Friday
CJ Abrams (wrist) is in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Rays.

Advice: Abrams is back at shortstop and leading off on Saturday after being hit by a pitch twice during Friday’s game -- first on his right arm by an 89 mph cutter in the first inning and then on his left wrist by an 88 mph offering a couple frames later. The positive news here is that X-rays came back negative and the issue didn’t seem to impact the cyst that he’s been dealing with near that left wrist. All indications are that he’s good to go this weekend. Rotoworld Today, 10:40 am
    • George Springer in Saturday’s lineup vs. Yankees
George Springer (hand) is in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Yankees.

Advice: This certainly qualifies as a welcome surprise for fantasy managers following Springer’s early exit from Friday’s game against the Yankees after being hit on his left hand by a 93.5 mph fastball. The positive news here is that precautionary X-rays came back negative for any fractures and the fact that he’s already back in the lineup means that the swelling isn’t bad enough that it’s preventing him from gripping a bat. It’s been a down year offensively for the 34-year-old veteran outfielder, but the Blue Jays need his bat in the lineup if they’re going to have any shot at turning things around before the trade deadline.
