    • Resting for day game
Murphy is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Murphy will get a breather for Thursday's matinee after he caught eight innings of Atlanta's 4-2 loss Wednesday night while going hitless across four at-bats. Travis d'Arnaud will spell Murphy behind the plate. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:49 am

    • Keibert Ruiz gets rare day off for Nationals
Keibert Ruiz is out of the Nationals lineup for the first time since June 1 in Thursday’s matinee against the Tigers.

Advice: Drew Millas will catch. Ruiz had DH’d twice in the last two weeks, but not today. While Ruiz did hit a huge three-run homer against the Braves on Sunday, he’s batting just .200/.236/.294 for the season. Rotoworld Thursday, 7:36 am

    • Getting rest Thursday
Ruiz is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Tigers, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Advice: He'll be getting some rest for the Thursday afternoon contest after he caught all nine innings of Wednesday's 7-5 win while going 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Drew Millas will get a turn behind the plate while Ruiz hits the bench. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:36 am

    • Homers, drives in four
Ruiz went 1-for-3 with a home run and four RBI Sunday against Atlanta.

Advice: Ruiz hammered a three-run blast in the fourth to give the Nationals a lead they would never relinquish. He later added a fourth RBI on a sac fly in the fifth that provided the Nationals with their eighth and final run of the contest. It was the fourth homer of the season for Ruiz to go along with 17 RBI and 16 runs as he's struggled to a .202 average through 163 at-bats. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:11 pm

    • Keibert Ruiz drives in four in win over ATL
Keibert Ruiz went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in a win over the Braves on Sunday.

Advice: With the Nationals up 1-0 in the fourth inning, Ruiz turned on an inside fastball from Hurston Waldrep crushing it 100.3 mph on a line for a three-run homer. It was Ruiz’s fourth home run of the season and a good reminder that he does have a bit of pop in his bat. The 25-year-old was off to a slow start in June, but had turned the corner in May after missing the start of the season with an illness. While his season-long stats don’t look great, but remains on the radar in one-catcher formats. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:06 pm

    • On bench Sunday
Murphy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Murphy started the previous three games and will take a seat for Sunday's series finale in Washington. Travis d'Arnaud will step in behind the plate to catch for Hurston Waldrep in his MLB debut. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:49 am

    • Sean Murphy blasts first homer of the season
Sean Murphy went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Murphy finally got on the board with his first home run of the season, taking Derek Law deep for a solo shot to lead off the seventh inning. Though, it was just the tenth game for the 29-year-old backstop as he missed extended time with an oblique injury. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:42 pm

    • Sean Murphy back in lineup Thursday vs. Nationals
Sean Murphy (elbow) is back in the lineup for Thursday’s series opener against the Nationals.

Advice: It’s an extremely encouraging sign to see Murphy back handling the catching duties following a brief one-game absence after being hit by a pitch on the right elbow during the late stages of Tuesday’s game against the Red Sox. The 29-year-old backstop has been snake-bitten by injuries this season, but managed to escape his most incident with nothing more than a nasty looking bruise. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:44 pm

    • Returns to Atlanta lineup
Murphy (elbow) will start at catcher and bat sixth in Thursday's game versus the Nationals.

Advice: Murphy had to depart Tuesday's game against the Red Sox after being struck on the right elbow by a pitch and was then held out of action Wednesday. It will be just a one-game absence for Atlanta's top catcher, though, as he and his teammates take on Mitchell Parker and the Nationals on Thursday. Rotowire.com Thursday, 12:37 pm
