    • Punches out 10 in win
Crochet (5-4) yielded two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over six innings Friday, striking out 10 and earning a win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Crochet gave up a pair of runs in the third inning but only one was earned due to his own throwing error. He's produced quality starts in four straight appearances and six of his last seven. Crochet generated 17 whiffs and racked up double-digit strikeouts for the fourth time this season. Since April 29, he's produced a ridiculous 1.37 ERA with a 63:9 K:BB in eight starts. Crochet will carry a 3.33 ERA into his next start, which is expected to be in Seattle next week. • Yanked early Friday
Lorenzen yielded two runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out one during the loss to the Giants.

Advice: Despite facing plenty of traffic on the basepaths, both runs allowed by Lorenzen were solo shots by Wilmer Flores. It was Lorenzen's shortest outing of the year and snapped his streak of four straight quality starts entering Friday. Since coughing up six runs against Oakland on May 8, he's registered a 1.50 ERA over his last five starts, lowering his season number to 3.05 through 59 innings. Lorenzen's next start is currently scheduled to be a road matchup with the Dodgers next week. Rotowire.com 54 minutes ago
    • Garrett Crochet fans 10 as White Sox snap skid
Garrett Crochet yielded two runs — one earned — and struck out 10 in six innings as the White Sox defeated the Red Sox 7-2 to snap a 14-game losing streak.

Advice: The White Sox’s previous win also, not coincidentally, came in a Crochet start on May 21. He has six of the White Sox’s 16 victories on the year. Crochet reached 10 strikeouts for the fourth time this season while allowing two runs or fewer for the eighth straight start. He’s due to face the Mariners next. Rotoworld 56 minutes ago

    • Lance Lynn gives up four over four in no-decision
Lance Lynn was charged for four runs in four innings in a no-decision Friday against the Rockies.

Advice: All four runs came in the fourth inning, and all on the same play. With the bases loaded, Lynn allowed a three-run triple to Michael Toglia, and Toglia picked up a Little League grand slam as he scored on an error. Lynn struck out six and walked two in a mediocre — at best — effort Friday night. His next start comes Thursday against the Pirates, assuming the rotation order stays the same. • Early exit not related to Soto
Dominguez (elbow) exited in the eighth inning of Thursday's rehab game with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, but the departure was unrelated to the injury sustained by Juan Soto (forearm), Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Dominguez's removal was planned, as he has yet to play a full game on his rehab assignment as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery. Of course, it's still possible Dominguez could replace Soto on the big-league roster should the latter miss time. Soto is set to undergo imaging on his left forearm Friday, and the results will dictate how the Yankees proceed. Dominguez is slashing .339/.397/.581 with four home runs over 68 plate appearances covering 17 rehab contests. Rotowire.com Today, 11:34 am

    • On track to return next week
Diaz (shoulder) said after his rehab appearance with High-A Brooklyn on Thursday that he will get one more rehab outing Sunday before being activated from the 15-day injured list on Wednesday or Thursday, SNY reports.

Advice: Diaz allowed one hit and struck out two in a scoreless inning for Brooklyn in his first rehab appearance. The reliever was pleased with his performance, saying after the game that his fastball had "new life" and his slider felt "great." Diaz is on track to return to the Mets' bullpen next week, although it's not clear whether he will serve as the team's closer right away. Rotowire.com Today, 8:11 am

    • Return could be delayed
Alvarez (thumb) has flown back to his native Venezuela to tend to a family matter, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Alvarez had been set for activation June 11 upon the Mets' return home from London, but he might now be back a day or two later. The young catcher has been sidelined since April 20 with a fractured left thumb and has played five rehab games, going 3-for-14 with one home run. Rotowire.com Today, 6:14 am
    • Alvarez’ return from IL to be delayed
Francisco Alvarez’ (thumb) return from the injury list is likely to be delayed for a non-injury reason, according to MLB.com’s Anthony DiComo.

Advice: Alvarez’ could’ve returned to action as early as next Tuesday, but now he’ll be delayed by a day or two. He had to fly home to Venezuela due to a family matter. Rotoworld Today, 6:09 am
    • Volpe scores run, steals 12th base in win
Anthony Volpe went 1-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base against the Twins on Thursday.

Advice: Volpe’s stolen base was his 12th of the season. He continues to occupy the leadoff spot in New York even after the return of D.J. LeMahieu. Volpe is up to 46 runs scored in 63 games for the Yankees this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:37 pm
