• Tyler Locklear starting at 1B on Thursday
Tyler Locklear is playing first base for the Mariners on Thursday.

Advice: With the Mariners facing left-hander Logan Allen, Locklear will play first base and Ty France will be at designated hitter with Luke Raley sliding to the bench. The Mariners kept Locklear on the roster with France being activated, so it appears Locklear will be in the starting lineup against left-handed pitchers moving forward. The Mariners will also start Victor Robles in left field and Ryan Bliss at second base with Dominic Canzone and Josh Rojas moving to the bench against a lefty. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago

  • Sitting against lefty
Raley is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: With lefty Logan Allen on the hill for Cleveland, Raley and fellow left-handed-hitting regulars Dominic Canzone and Josh Rojas will retreat to the bench. Victor Robles will step in for Raley as the Mariners' starting left fielder. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago

  • Lifts fourth homer
Urias went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Yankees.

Advice: Urias went deep in the fifth inning for his first homer since June 3. The infielder has hit safely in his last six games, going 8-for-23 (.348) in that span. He had to settle for a utility role early in the year, but he's been staking a larger claim with strong hitting in June. For the season, Urias is slashing .252/.298/.421 with four homers, 10 RBI, 15 runs scored and no stolen bases over 114 plate appearances. He may be set for a short-term bump in playing time if Jordan Westburg (hip) has to sit out more games following his injury Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:12 pm

  • Homer, triple in win
Toglia went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a triple and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Toglia is finding a rhythm at the plate, going 13-for-47 (.277) over 13 games since he was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on June 6. Five of his 13 hits in that span have gone for extra bases. The 25-year-old is up to a .191/.239/.436 slash line with six homers, 20 RBI, 14 runs scored, one stolen base, two triples and one double through 101 plate appearances this season. Toglia is playing on a near-everyday basis, splitting his time between first base and right field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:03 pm

  • Michael Toglia slugs three-run homer vs. Dodgers
Michael Toglia went 2-for-4 with a home run, triple, and three RBI in a 7-6 win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Toglia got the scoring started for the Rockies in the first inning with a three-run blast off Bobby Miller. He then led off the fourth with a triple before scoring on a groundout. The 25-year-old first baseman is slashing .191/.238/.436 with six homers and 20 RBI across 101 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:26 pm

  • Spencer Horwitz with two hits out of lead-off spot
Spencer Horwitz went 2-for-4 with a walk on Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: The Blue Jays are giving Horwitz an opportunity at the top of their lineup as he’s hit first or second in all 10 of his starts since being called-up. He’s done well there, too with more walks than strikeouts and a .353/.450/.412 slash line so far. There isn’t much power, but getting on base at the top of any lineup is valuable. • Brandon Drury scratched with illness on Wednesday
Brandon Drury was scratched from the Angels’ starting lineup on Wednesday night due to illness.

Advice: The 31-year-old infielder had just returned from the injured list on Monday, so it’s encouraging to hear that it’s just an illness keeping him out of action and not a recurrence of his hamstring issue. He should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:43 pm

  • Scratched with illness
Drury was scratched from the Angels' lineup ahead of Wednesday's game versus Milwaukee due to an illness, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Drury has gone 1-for-6 with a walk since returning from the injured list Monday, but he'll be sidelined once again Wednesday as he fights off an illness. Luis Guillorme will instead start at the keystone and bat ninth versus right-hander Freddy Peralta. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:38 pm

  • Nolan Jones scratched due to illness on Wednesday
Nolan Jones was scratched from the Rockies’ starting lineup on Wednesday night due to illness.

Advice: Fortunately, he’s not dealing with any serious ailments and should be able to return to action in a day or two. Sean Bouchard will start in his place in left field and will bat sixth for the Rockies against Bobby Miller and the Dodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:27 pm
