• Austin Martin starting again for Twins
Austin Martin is starting at second base for the Twins on Thursday with Willi Castro on the bench.

Advice: Martin has now started four straight games and five of six since being promoted from Triple-A. Martin is 7-for-15 in those five games with four runs, two RBI, and a steal. If the Twins continue to move him all over the field and keep him in the starting lineup then Martin could produce enough value to be rostered in deeper formats. Kyle Farmer will play up the middle with Martin at shortstop with Carlos Correa getting a day off. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago

  • Sitting against lefty
Raley is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: With lefty Logan Allen on the hill for Cleveland, Raley and fellow left-handed-hitting regulars Dominic Canzone and Josh Rojas will retreat to the bench. Victor Robles will step in for Raley as the Mariners' starting left fielder. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

  • Homers twice in rehab game
Mitchell (finger) homered twice in a rehab game with Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

Advice: Mitchell has played five rehab games with Nashville after being transferred there from the Brewers' Arizona Complex League affiliate. He's gone 5-for-22 with two home runs and two stolen bases in those contests, playing both center field and right field in addition to designated hitter. Mitchell will remain at Nashville for the time being, per Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, but a return to the major-league roster shouldn't be far off. Out all season with a fractured finger, Mitchell is a viable stash in fantasy leagues where he's still available. Rotowire.com 56 minutes ago
  • Still limited to small-side platoon
McCormick went 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the White Sox.

Advice: McCormick was in the lineup because Houston was facing lefty Garret Crochet, though he remains on the small-side of a platoon with Trey Cabbage. As a result, McCormick has started only six of the team's last 10 games, during which he's hit .250 with one home run, five RBI and five runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 6:57 am

  • Snaps hitless streak
Meyers went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored Wednesday against the White Sox.

Advice: Meyers entered Wednesday having failed to record a hit in his last five appearances, during which he was striking out at a 35.7 percent clip. Even with his performance Wednesday, he's still hitting only .167 across 54 at-bats in June. Despite the slow stretch, Meyers has started in all but two of 16 games for Houston in June. • Will serve as 27th man
The Cardinals will recall Scott from Triple-A Memphis to serve as their 27th man in Thursday's game versus the Giants, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The Cardinals and Giants will both be allowed an extra player for Thursday's contest at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Ala. Scott should be available as a pinch-runner and defensive replacement and will be sent back down to Memphis after the game. Rotowire.com Today, 6:34 am
  • Starts against right-hander
Fairchild started in center field and went 0-for-2 with a walk in Wednesday's 1-0 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Fairchild filled in for the injured TJ Friedl (hamstring), getting a rare start against a right-hander. Fairchild is 4-for-44 against righties this season and owns a career .205 mark off them. The Reds are off Thursday, giving Friedl one more recovery day before they kick off a home series against Boston on Friday. Rotowire.com Today, 4:36 am

  • Two thefts in loss
Siani went 0-for-2 with two stolen bases in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Siani twice got aboard on fielder's choices, and he was able to notch a steal each time. He's picked up three thefts over his last six games and now has nine steals on 12 attempts this year. The outfielder is slashing a middling .214/.258/.290 with two home runs, 11 RBI, 18 runs scored, three doubles and one triple over 164 plate appearances. Siani has maintained his place in the Cardinals' lineup primarily for his defense, and his speed is a positive even though he doesn't get on base frequently. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:49 pm
  • Snaps homer drought
Taveras went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 5-3 win against the Mets.

Advice: Taveras began the game on the bench before being called upon to play center field in the top of the seventh inning. In the bottom of that frame, Taveras produced the game-winning runs when he smashed a two-run homer to right-center field. The long ball snapped a 22-game homerless stretch for the outfielder, who hit a meager .147 during that span. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:38 pm
