    • Throwing from 90 feet
Cimber (shoulder) threw from 90 feet Monday and Thursday, per MLB.com.

Advice: Cimber was placed on the injured list June 15 due to right shoulder inflammation one day after a poor outing against San Francisco , though he reportedly had been getting treatment on the shoulder prior to that appearance. The righty reliever appears to be making progress in his recovery given his recent throwing. However, it's not clear when Cimber will be ready to return to the Angels' bullpen. • Begins throwing program
Leiter (forearm) began a throwing program Friday, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Manager Craig Counsell said Leiter is slated to throw again Saturday. It's unclear whether Leiter has been throwing off flat ground or a mound, but it certainly is a positive sign that the 33-year-old was able to start a throwing program just five days after landing on the IL with a strain in his right (throwing) forearm. He'll still most likely remain on the injured list for more than a minimum-length stay, but a return before the All-Star break hasn't been ruled out yet. Rotowire.com Today, 12:13 pm

    • Struggles with command
Plesac yielded two runs on a hit and four walks over 2.2 innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out three during the win over Detroit.

Advice: Plesac retired eight straight batters to begin the game before unraveling in the third inning. With two outs in the frame, he put five straight runners on base and walked in a pair of runs. He posted a quality start in his season debut but has been tagged with eight runs in six frames over his last two outings, shooting his season ERA up to 8.25. As things stand, Plesac is lined up to start in Oakland next week, but it's unclear if he'll get another turn in the rotation. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:26 pm

    • Plesac lasts just 2 2/3 in no-decision vs. Tigers
Zach Plesac went just 2 2/3 innings while giving up two runs in a no-decision against the Tigers on Friday.

Advice: Plesac couldn’t throw strikes — at least on a consistent basis — as he waked four batters and landing just 29-of-57 pitches in the zone. The right-hander just hasn’t shown quality command in his last two outings, and it’s hard to imagine he’ll be relevant for fantasy managers even if he stays in the rotation. • Snags seventh win
Neris (7-2) tossed a scoreless ninth inning with two strikeouts to earn the win in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning victory over the Giants.

Advice: Neris went through a rough patch earlier this month but has pitched better lately, tossing scoreless innings in consecutive outings with four total strikeouts. The veteran once again didn't see a save opportunity, as that went to Porter Hodge on Thursday, but it was encouraging to see Neris still work in a high-leverage spot. He figures to remain Chicago's closer moving forward, though he could be replaced if his struggles resurface. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:23 pm
    • Patrick Sandoval undergoes elbow surgery
Patrick Sandoval underwent season-ending left elbow surgery on Wednesday.

Advice: No word yet whether Sandoval went a full Tommy John ligament replacement or a less invasive internal brace procedure. The 27-year-old southpaw is expected to miss most of, if not all, of the 2025 campaign. Rotoworld Thursday, 5:35 pm

    • Moved to 60-day IL
The Angels transferred Sandoval (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Sandoval was diagnosed with a torn UCL in his left elbow Monday and is expected to miss at least a full calendar year. He'll trade places on the 60-day IL with Chase Silseth (elbow), who was activated and optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:54 pm

    • Angels transfer Patrick Sandoval to 60-day IL
Angels transferred LHP Patrick Sandoval to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Sandoval was in the midst of one of the better stretches of his career before suffering a serious left elbow injury during last Friday’s start against the Dodgers. The 27-year-old southpaw will undergo season-ending surgery in the near future and is expected to miss a significant chunk, if not all, of the 2025 campaign as well. • Serves up three long balls in loss
Munoz (1-3) took the loss against Kansas City on Monday, allowing four runs on six hits and four walks while striking out four batters over six innings.

Advice: Munoz's command wasn't on point Monday, as he tied a season high with four free passes while serving up three home runs. It was the second straight start in which the right-hander surrendered three long balls, and he's given up multiple homers in five of his seven outings overall on the season. Munoz's horrendous 3.5 HR/9 and poor 4.5 BB/9 has led to a 7.94 FIP, which makes his 5.80 ERA seem fortunate. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:13 pm
