    • Jasson Domínguez out eight weeks with injury
According to Yankees manager Aaron Boone, Jasson Domínguez will miss eight weeks with an oblique strain.

Advice: We knew the oblique would keep Domínguez out for a couple of weeks, but this is an extensive period of time and one that really threatens his ability to contribute MLB at-bats this season. If Domínguez doesn’t even return to minor league action until late August, then the Yankees will likely give him a couple of weeks to get his timing back at Triple-A before even thinking about promoting him. He could be up in late September but it’s hard to see the Yankees thrusting him into a major role in the middle of a pennant race after that much missed time. It’s a shame because he was looking great after Tommy John surgery, hitting .356/.404/.609 with six homers and 13 RBIs in 23 games across three levels. Rotoworld 16 minutes ago

    • Charlie Blackmon remains out of the Rockies lineup
Charlie Blackmon (hamstring) is not in the Rockies’ lineup on Thursday against the Dodgers.

Advice: It’s unfortunate timing for Blackmon, who was hitting over .300 over his last two weeks but now finds himself battling an injury during a week in which the Rockies will play all their games at home. For fantasy managers who picked Blackmon up, it’s OK to move on from him in shallower formats since it’s not a given he returns on Friday. Elehuris Montero will DH and hit fifth on Thursday. • Dealing with neck spasms
Kepler had to exit Thursday's game against the Rays because of neck spasms, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Kepler tweaked his neck while sliding into first base when he attempted to bunt for a hit in the first inning. He should be considered day-to-day for now, but the Twins could provide more information on Kepler's status after the game. Rotowire.com 49 minutes ago

    • Out eight weeks at Triple-A
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Thursday that Dominguez will be out for up to eight weeks at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre due to a "significant" left oblique strain, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Boone labeled Dominguez's oblique strain as "moderate" Wednesday, but the injury now appears to be more severe than the Yankees initially believed. The 21-year-old outfielder already missed the first two-plus months of the Triple-A season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, and an eight-week return timeline will keep him out of action until at least mid-August. • Could head back to the minors soon
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol indicated Thursday that Colas might need to be optioned to Triple-A Charlotte soon so he can play every day, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Advice: Colas hasn't started a game in a week, and while Grifol said he plans to put the outfielder in the lineup soon, he admitted that it might be more beneficial for the 25-year-old to go back to the minors soon. The outfielder has gone 9-for-30 at the plate during his limited chances with the White Sox this season, although all nine hits have been singles. Chicago will be sellers at the trade deadline, and playing time for Colas could open up at that point. Rotowire.com Today, 10:56 am

    • Exits game with injury
Kepler was lifted from Thursday's game against the Rays in the first inning with an undisclosed injury, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kepler was trying to bunt for a hit in his first plate appearance and hurt himself while sliding into first base. It's not clear what injury the outfielder is dealing with, but the Twins should have more on Kepler's status soon. Rotowire.com Today, 10:38 am

    • Missing second straight start
Blackmon (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Dodgers, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Advice: He'll stay on the bench for a second straight game while he manages a tight right hamstring. Blackmon's absence clears the way for Jake Cave and Elehuris Montero to pick up another start in right field and at designated hitter, respectively. Rotowire.com Today, 9:45 am

    • Sitting against lefty
Heyward is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Heyward will join fellow left-handed hitters Gavin Lux and Cavan Biggio on the bench for the series finale in Colorado while the Rockies bring lefty Ty Blach to the hill. With Heyward sitting, Miguel Vargas will pick up a start in left field and will bat seventh. Rotowire.com Today, 9:41 am
    • Resting against lefty
Biggio is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Biggio will join fellow left-handed hitters Gavin Lux and Jason Heyward on the bench for the series finale in Colorado while the Rockies send southpaw Ty Blach to the hill. Enrique Hernandez will enter the lineup at third base as Biggio's replacement. Rotowire.com Today, 9:39 am
