    • Spencer Arrighetti shaky in no-decision
Spencer Arrighetti allowed three runs in 4 1/3 innings while not picking up a decision Thursday against the White Sox.

Advice: Arrighetti struggled with his control throughout the contest, as he issued four walks and threw 47-of-80 pitches for strikes. The right-hander was facing one of the easier lineups in baseball, and itā€™s another mediocre result; albeit one that is better than the seven runs he gave up over 1 1/3 against Detroit on Saturday. Arrighetti now has a 6.36 ERA, and he isnā€™t a recommended streamer even against the Rockies at home next week. Rotoworld Today, 2:04 pm
    • MacKenzie Gore allows 10 hits in loss to D-Backs
MacKenzie Gore allowed four runs while working five innings in a loss Thursday to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Gore did strike out seven, but he allowed 10 hits while also issuing two walks. Unsurprisingly, this left Gore with a high pitch count, as he needed 103 pitches to get through those five frames. The 25-year-old southpaw was coming off back-to-back excellent outings, but outside of the strikeouts, there werenā€™t many positives here. Gore is scheduled to face the Padres next week. • Aims for baseball activities soon
Astros manager Joe Espada said Thursday that he's hopeful Tucker (shin) will be ready to begin baseball activities this weekend, Casey Drottar of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Tucker's recovery from a right shin contusion has come along more slowly than expected, but he seems to have made some progress in recent days. Because he's already missed more than two weeks, Tucker could require a brief rehab assignment before returning from the 10-day injured list. Rotowire.com Today, 10:25 am

    • Espada: ā€œHopefulā€ Tucker start activities
Astros manager Joe Espada said he was ā€œhopeful Kyle Tucker can begin doing baseball activities on the field this weekend.ā€

Advice: Tuckerā€™s shin contusion has kept him out longer than most expected, but itā€™s nice to hear he may progress to working out on the field this weekend. If that goes well, he may require a few rehab games since heā€™s been out for almost two weeks, but we could see Tucker back in an Astros uniform by the end of next week if his shin responds well to these next steps. • Out again versus lefty
Pederson is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Nationals.

Advice: As usual, Pederson is sitting against a left-hander, as the Nationals are starting southpaw MacKenzie Gore on Thursday. Ketel Marte will get a day out of the field and serve as Arizona's designated hitter while Blaze Alexander starts at second base. Rotowire.com Today, 6:28 am
    • Two hits, steal in win
Hamilton started at shortstop and went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and an RBI in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Hamilton returned to the starting lineup after dealing with discomfort in his side. He started the scoring with a run-producing single in the third inning and later stole his 20th base of the season. Hamilton has been prominent in the team's recent transition to the "Running Red Sox," as the team has attempted 17 steals (twice caught) over the last four games. Rotowire.com Today, 5:24 am

    • Swipes two bags in win
Henderson went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, two stolen bases and two runs scored in Wednesday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Yankees.

Advice: Henderson has gone 16-for-51 (.314) with three home runs and three steals during his 12-game hitting streak. While he's struck out 16 times over that span, he's still making enough contact to be a huge positive atop the Orioles' lineup. For the season, the star shortstop is at a .273/.371/.582 slash line with a career-best 11 steals as well as 22 homers, 49 RBI and 59 runs scored over 72 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:08 pm

    • Fans nine in no-decision
Heaney allowed three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out nine batters over six innings in a no-decision against the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: Heaney induced 15 swinging strikes in the outing, helping him reach a season-high nine punchouts. The left-hander's strong start was somewhat spoiled by a Pete Alonso two-run homer in the sixth, but Heaney still completed that frame to finish with his fourth quality start of the campaign. The veteran hurler is just 2-8 on the season, but he's offered some stability at the back of Texas' rotation by giving up three or fewer earned runs in each of his past 10 appearances, posting a 3.26 ERA across 49.2 frames during that span. • Throws six shutout innings
Peralta (5-4) earned the win over the Angels on Wednesday, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out eight over six shutout innings.

Advice: Peralta gave up six runs over 5.1 innings in his previous start, but he bounced back with one of his best outings of the season. This is the second time he's kept runs off the board through 15 starts this year, and it's his sixth quality start. Peralta is at a 4.06 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 106:29 K:BB through 82 innings. The veteran right-hander's next start is projected to be at home versus the Rangers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:15 pm
