• Luke Raley goes yard in win over White Sox
Luke Raley went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Seattle’s 2-1 win against the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: With the game still scoreless in the seventh inning, Raley gave the Mariners the lead with a solo homer to right field off Jonathan Cannon. After the White Sox tied the game in the ninth, Raley started the tenth inning on second and scored the game-winning run on a base hit by Mitch Haniger. The 29-year-old outfielder is hitting .264/.310/.442 with seven homers, 18 RBI, and five steals across 174 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:23 pm

  • Cavan Biggio starts at third base in Dodgers debut
Cavan Biggio will start at third base and bat ninth in his Dodgers’ debut against the Rangers on Wednesday evening.

Advice: It looks like Biggio could see strong-side platoon at-bats at third base — at least until Max Muncy returns from the injured list — as well as being utilized all over the diamond as a super-utility option. The 29-year-old was hitting a miserable .200/.323/.291 with a pair of homers in 131 plate appearances with the Blue Jays this season before getting designated for assignment and ultimately flipped to the Dodgers. • Sitting Wednesday
Hernandez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Hernandez will sit for the second consecutive contest after starting the previous four games at third base. The 32-year-old has a .591 OPS in 155 plate appearances this season, and the acquisition of Cavan Biggio -- who is starting at the hot corner Wednesday -- could result in a reduced role for Hernandez. • Making Dodgers debut at third base
Biggio is starting at third base and batting ninth Wednesday against the Rangers.

Advice: The 29-year-old was officially acquired from Toronto earlier Wednesday and will immediately step into the starting nine for Los Angeles. Biggio struggled in 130 plate appearances for the Blue Jays this season with a .200/.323/.291 slash line and 32.3 percent strikeout rate, but he could see semi-regular playing time at the hot corner while Max Muncy (oblique) is sidelined. Enrique Hernandez has been operating as the Dodgers' primary third baseman but is on the bench Wednesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:17 pm

  • Passan: Dodgers acquire Biggio from Blue Jays
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Dodgers acquired INF/OF Cavan Biggio from the Blue Jays for minor league reliever Braydon Fisher.

Advice: The 29-year-old Biggio was waived by Toronto last week after hitting .200/.323/.291 with two home runs in 131 plate appearances in 2024. It was a disappointing start to the season after Biggio seemed to unlock something in the second half of last season when he hit .272/.404/.361 in 52 games. Over the last two seasons, Biggio has played every position in the field other than pitcher and catcher, so the Dodgers clearly see some value in his ability to move on all over and post near 80 percent contact rates. We’ll see if they can get a new level of production out of him, but he should remain on fantasy waiver wires for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:41 am

  • Traded to Dodgers
The Dodgers acquired Biggio from the Blue Jays on Wednesday in exchange for right-hander Braydon Fisher, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Biggio had been designated for assignment after slashing just .200/.323/.291 through 130 plate appearances this season. The 29-year-old will provide defensive versatility for the Dodgers, having played every position in the pro ranks other than pitcher and catcher. Biggio is making $4.21 million this season and has one year of arbitration eligibility remaining. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:35 am

  • On track to play games
Thomas (hamstring) is expected to serve as the designated hitter for the Diamondbacks' entry in the Arizona Complex League on Thursday, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: Thomas has been running the bases and will be on the field Wednesday at Chase Field to take batting practice and perform outfield work before heading to the ACL. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo reiterated a statement made earlier that Thomas may not need as many games as teammate Geraldo Perdomo, who had a seven-game (16 plate appearances) rehab assignment before his return from a knee injury Tuesday. • On bench Tuesday
Hernandez isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Tuesday versus the Rangers.

Advice: Hernandez has been the primary third baseman for the Dodgers while Max Muncy nurses an oblique injury. In the three-game series versus the Yankees that ended Sunday, Hernandez went 3-for-10 with a home run and a double. With the 32-year-old on the bench Tuesday, Miguel Rojas is starting at third base and will bat ninth. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:10 pm

  • Royals recall INF Pratto from Omaha
Royals recalled INF Nick Pratto from Triple-A Omaha.

Advice: Pratto is up with Adam Frazier on the bereavement list. The 25-year-old is a former first-round pick, but he’s likely only up as a bench option while Frazier is away for the next three days. Rotoworld Tuesday, 11:57 am
