Passan: Dodgers acquire Biggio from Blue Jays
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Dodgers acquired INF/OF Cavan Biggio from the Blue Jays for minor league reliever Braydon Fisher.
Advice: The 29-year-old Biggio was waived by Toronto last week after hitting .200/.323/.291 with two home runs in 131 plate appearances in 2024. It was a disappointing start to the season after Biggio seemed to unlock something in the second half of last season when he hit .272/.404/.361 in 52 games. Over the last two seasons, Biggio has played every position in the field other than pitcher and catcher, so the Dodgers clearly see some value in his ability to move on all over and post near 80 percent contact rates. We’ll see if they can get a new level of production out of him, but he should remain on fantasy waiver wires for now.
