    • Bobby Miller allows 3 ER in short outing vs. CWS
Bobby Miller allowed three earned runs over two innings in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

Advice: Miller surrendered a two-run homer to Andrew Benintendi in the bottom of the first inning, and later saw an Eloy Jiménez double bring Luis Robert Jr. around to score. Miller allowed four baserunners in the frame and needed 38 pitches to get out of the inning but was pulled after the second inning and 60 pitches. It was just Miller’s fifth start of the season and his second-shortest outing on the year, as he was erratic for much of the night, with only 33 of his pitches going for strikes. The young righty has allowed three earned runs or more in three of his starts this season and saw his ERA jump to 6.75 after Tuesday’s outing. If he’s given the chance, Miller will look to correct course in his next start, which is scheduled for Monday against the Diamondbacks. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:13 pm
    • Start moved to Thursday
Manager Craig Counsell said that Imanaga will make his next start in Thursday's series finale in San Francisco, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Imanaga had previously been in line to start Wednesday, but he'll get an extra day to rest up after he was lit up for 10 earned runs in just three innings during his most recent outing Friday against the Mets. Despite his awful performance Friday, the 30-year-old southpaw has still been strong overall with a 2.96 ERA and 1.10 WHIP alongside an 81:12 K:BB through 79 innings over 14 starts. Counsell didn't name a replacement starter for Wednesday, though he noted a bullpen game is the most likely course of action. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 5:45 pm

    • Forced to IL with blister issue
The Reds placed Lodolo on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a left finger blister.

Advice: Lodolo battled the blister issue during his start this past Sunday against the Red Sox, and the Reds have opted to give the left-hander some down time in order to let the finger heal. He had been slated to start Friday in St. Louis, but the Reds will now need a substitute. Graham Ashcraft has pitched well in two starts since being demoted to Triple-A Louisville, so he's a candidate to take Lodolo's spot. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:39 am

    • Reds place Nick Lodolo on IL with finger blister
Reds placed LHP Nick Lodolo on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 24, with a left finger blister.

Advice: Lodolo was ineffective against the Red Sox on Sunday, and it’s possible the blister had something to do with the issue. He’ll be out of action for a couple of weeks, and it seems likely that Graham Ashcraft will take his spot in the rotation. In the meantime, Yosver Zulueta is up to take Lodolo’s spot on the roster. Assuming a normal recovery time, it’s reasonable to expect Lodolo back before the All-Star break. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:39 am

    • Good start goes to waste
Steele allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out nine over 7.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Monday.

Advice: The downside to Steele's outing was that two of the hits on his line were solo home runs from Matt Chapman and Nick Ahmed. The southpaw hadn't given up a homer in any of his last five starts, and the Giants were able to continue their comeback push against the Cubs' bullpen to deny Steele his first win of the year. Despite the lack of positive results, he's logged five quality starts in 11 outings with a 3.08 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 65:16 K:BB over 64.1 innings. Steele is projected for a tough road matchup at Milwaukee this weekend. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:05 pm

    • Cubs bullpen can’t hold lead for Justin Steele
Justin Steele was denied a win yet again after allowing two runs in 7 1/3 innings Monday against the Giants.

Advice: Steele struck out a season-high and departed with a 4-2 lead, but it failed to hold up. The result left Steele winless through 11 starts this season, even though he’s turned in quality starts in five of his last six outings. He’s 0-3 with a 3.08 ERA. Rotoworld Monday, 10:50 pm

    • Pitches into seventh versus CWS
Olson (2-8) earned the win after he pitched 6.1 innings, surrendering two runs on four hits while striking out three batters in Sunday's 11-2 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Olson tossed six scoreless frames before running into some trouble in the top of the seventh, ultimately exiting the game with one out and runners on second and third. Both runs came around to score on a two-out single by Nicky Lopez off reliever Will Vest. Nonetheless, Olson has now recorded back-to-back quality starts after a three-start stretch during which he gave up 17 earned runs over 14.2 innings to open June. The right-hander will carry a 3.35 ERA into his next projected start on the road against the Angels. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:24 pm

    • Nick Lodolo takes first loss since May
Nick Lodolo lost to the Red Sox after yielding four runs — three earned — in 4 2/3 innings Sunday.

Advice: Lodolo hadn’t allowed more than two runs in winning five straight starts since returning from the IL, but he didn’t have quite the same stuff today. With his curveball a little off, he settled for seven missed swings in the 77-pitch outing. He also walked four. He’ll look to start a new winning streak next weekend against the Cardinals; that’s the team he beat a month ago to begin the one that concluded today. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:30 pm

    • Max Fried keeps Yankees bats at bay
Max Fried allowed one run on six hits in six innings in a win over the Yankees on Sunday.

Advice: It wasn’t a dominant outing for the left-hander, but he allowed just one extra-base hit all day and was able to pitch his way out of any trouble that he found himself in. He induced just seven whiffs on 39 swings for an 18 percent whiff rate and 26 percent CSW, but that’s a pretty solid day against a good Yankees lineup. Fried is now 7-3 with a 3.00 ERA on the year and is set up for a solid start against the Pirates next week. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:27 pm
