      Advice: Rengifo opened the scoring by popping a 413-foot solo shot in the bottom of the first. The switch-hitting Angel has been hot since returning from an illness May 17, hitting .300 (9-for-30) with two homers, three steals, four runs scored and five RBI.       Luis Rengifo doubled and homered in a loss Friday to the Angels.

      Advice: Rengifo also singled. The 27-year-old took Logan Allen deep in the first inning, and the three-reach game now has his slash looking healthy at .322/.374/.504. Rengifo has been up-and-down for the majority of his MLB career. Right now he’s on the right side of that. There’s reason to believe it won’t last for much longer, respectfully. He's up to four homers this season, three of which have come in his last 12 games, a span in which he's hitting .313 (15-for-48). The infielder is slashing .255/.321/.360 with 25 RBI, 22 runs scored, no stolen bases and nine doubles over 50 contests this season.       Advice: Rengifo got the Angels on the board quickly with a two-run blast off Christian Javier in the opening frame. He later plated a third run in the fourth on a base knock. He's now tallied at least one hit in 11 of his last 12 games, which includes 13 hits and a .371 average over his last eight games. He's regularly been hitting first or second since coming back from the injured list last week and is now slashing ,316/.366/.474 with three homers, 15 RBI, 16 runs and an 8:18 BB:K in 124 plate appearances.       Luis Rengifo had a two-run homer and an RBI single versus the Astros on Tuesday.

      Advice: Rengifo definitely wasn’t Ron Washington’s favorite player at the beginning of the year, but he’s been one of the best Angels thus far, having hit .316/.366/.474 in 124 plate appearances. Statcast thinks he’s way overachieving, given that his exit velocity numbers are significantly worse than his career marks, but things will probably even out there somewhat; his .840 OPS won’t quite hold up, but his exit velocity numbers should get better.
