• Chris Flexen holds Red Sox to two runs
Chris Flexen was uninvolved in the decision Sunday after allowing two runs in five innings versus the Red Sox.

Advice: This makes three straight solid outings for Flexen, though he hasn’t pitched more than five innings in any of them. He also hasn’t won since May 8. Still, he has a reasonable 4.47 ERA in nine starts since rejoining the White Sox rotation in late April. Rotoworld Today, 4:46 pm

  • Tanner Banks blows save chance in ninth
Tanner Banks got the call in the ninth Sunday against the Red Sox, but he blew the save by giving up a run.

Advice: Michael Kopech was unavailable after throwing 33 pitches Saturday, and the White Sox also decided against using Jordan Leasure, who threw 16 pitches in that one. Banks, on the other hand, did work for a second straight day after throwing 22 pitches last night. He gave up a run through a double, a stolen base and a sac fly. Kopech and Leasure remain the top two choices for saves in Chicago. Rotoworld Today, 4:46 pm
  • Secures win Sunday
Sandlin (5-0) pitched a perfect inning to earn the win Sunday over the Marlins.

Advice: The Guardians took the lead in the seventh inning after Sandlin worked the sixth, making him the pitcher of record. While he's allowed multiple runs in two of his last nine outings, he hasn't been charged with a run in his other seven appearances in that span. Sandlin is at a 2.63 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 29:9 K:BB over 27.1 innings this season while adding a save, four holds and a blown save. The strength of the Guardians' bullpen has kept him from seeing more consistent high-leverage work, as he continues to see mostly middle-innings assignments. Rotowire.com Today, 4:33 pm
  • Could return Tuesday
Diaz (right shoulder impingement) pitched a scoreless inning Sunday for High-A Brooklyn and could rejoin the Mets as soon as Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: A report from earlier in the week suggested Diaz could return Wednesday or Thursday, so this report bumps up his potential return by a day. Catcher Francisco Alvarez (left thumb surgery) is also tracking toward a potential return Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 4:15 pm
  • Notches ninth save
Neris picked up his ninth save of the season Sunday against the Reds, striking out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning. He did not allow a baserunner.

Advice: Neris was sharp, striking out the first two batters he faced before inducing a groundout to secure a 4-2 victory for the Cubs. The 34-year-old veteran has enjoyed a nice start to the month of June, notching saves in three of his four appearances and a win in the other. During that stretch, Neris has pitched four scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and two walks while collecting six strikeouts. Rotowire.com Today, 4:07 pm
  • Back in action
Munoz (back) recorded one strikeout in a perfect eighth inning Sunday against the Royals. He said he "felt weird" out on the mound and was happy with the outing even though he didn't feel like he had his best stuff or command, per Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times.

Advice: He was the first reliever out of the bullpen after George Kirby tossed seven innings of one-run ball. Mike Baumann came on in the ninth inning and gave up two earned runs to blow the save (and eventually pick up the win). It sounds like Munoz will be considered available going forward although his back might not feel fully healthy. Rotowire.com Today, 4:06 pm
  • Bullpen session on tap
Graterol (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session this week in Arizona, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: As Plunkett notes, this is the first positive news regarding Graterol in a while, as he has been out all season due to right shoulder inflammation/pain. The hard-throwing righty would likely need to throw several bullpen sessions before advancing to face live hitters. Rotowire.com Today, 4:01 pm
  • Notches first win
Duran (1-2) picked up the win Sunday against Pittsburgh, striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning. He did not allow a baserunner.

Advice: Duran was roughed up by Pittsburgh Saturday, allowing three earned runs in 0.2 innings. The hard-throwing right-hander was able to rebound Sunday, pitching a clean ninth inning to earn his first win. Duran has not received a save opportunity since June 2 but he is still the Twins top closer, going a perfect 10-for-10 in save chances after missing the first month of the season with an oblique injury. • Andre Pallante goes five scoreless for victory
Andre Pallante worked five shutout innings Sunday in the Cardinals’ 5-1 victory over the Rockies.

Advice: Pallante allowed three hits, all of them singles, and struck out six to win for the second time in three starts since joining the rotation. He’ll probably get to keep his spot over the rehabbing Steven Matz if he remains successful, but there isn’t a lot of fantasy potential here. Rotoworld Today, 3:49 pm
