• Luis Campusano belts three-run homer in loss
Luis Campusano went 1-for-2 and belted a three-run homer as the Padres fell to the Phillies on Sunday afternoon in San Diego.

Advice: Campusano entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Kyle Higashioka in the seventh inning and responded by crushing a 397-foot (106.2 mph EV) three-run blast off of Taijuan Walker that pulled the Padres to within a run at 7-6. That would be as close as they would get. The 25-year-old backstop is now hitting .290/.320/.430 with a pair of homers and 17 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:22 pm
  • Henry Davis exits for pinch-hitter versus Giants
Henry Davis struck out twice before exiting for a pinch-hitter Sunday against the Giants.

Advice: The Pirates might have batted for him anyway, but Davis did get hit on the right hand while catching today and was definitely feeling it afterwards. Davis has really struggled this season, hitting .169/.282/.215 in 79 plate appearances, and odds are that he’s going to be sent to Triple-A once Yasmani Grandal comes off the IL. • Kirk has three hits, HR in win over LAD
Alejandro Kirk went 3-for-3 with a solo home run in a win over the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: Well, that was sorely needed. The home run was actually Kirk’s softest hit ball of the day, leaving the bat at 99.2 mph while he also registered a 103.3 mph single and another 112.9 mph single. The big fly was Kirk’s first of the season, and he’s slashing just .206/.297/.270 with 10 RBI. Now that Danny Jansen is back, Kirk will need more performances like this to keep holding onto regular playing time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:35 pm
  • Not starting Sunday
Campusano is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Campusano has a .907 OPS with four doubles in his past seven contests and will sit Sunday after starting the previous three games. Kyle Higashioka will step in behind the plate to catch for Michael King in the series finale versus the Phillies. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:30 pm
  • Receives breather Sunday
Raleigh is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Raleigh started the past three days after missing one contest due to dental procedure, and he'll sit Sunday with it being a day game after a night game. Seby Zavala is starting behind the plate to catch for righty Logan Gilbert. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:34 am

  • Receives Sunday off
Moreno is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Seattle.

Advice: Moreno started the first two games of the series but will receive a breather in Sunday's finale. Tucker Barnhart is starting at catcher and batting eighth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:19 am
  • Luis Campusano takes seat Sunday vs. Phillies
Luis Campusano is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: Campusano went 2-for-7 in the first two games of the series against Philadelphia, with both hits coming Friday. The 25-year-old backstop will take a seat with Kyle Higashioka starting behind the plate and hitting ninth. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:47 am
  • Sitting Sunday
Stephenson (hand) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Texas.

Advice: Manager David Bell said Stephenson's removal from Saturday's contest after being hit by a pitch on the hand was precautionary, but the backstop will still take at least one day to recover. Luke Maile is working behind the plate in the series finale versus the Rangers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:28 am
  • Back in action Sunday
Lee will start at catcher and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Lee was on the bench for both of the White Sox's previous two games while Martin Maldonado handled the catching duties. After Maldonado ended his stretch of wretched production at the plate by blasting a three-run home run and adding a single in Friday's 9-4 win, he was rewarded with another start in Saturday's 8-7 extra-inning win but went 0-for-2 with a walk. Maldonado is now holding down a lowly .304 OPS on the season -- well below Lee's .774 OPS in 47 plate appearances -- so expect the non-contending White Sox to lean on the younger and better-performing Lee as their preferred option behind the dish.
