    Jansen pitched 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Yankees.

    Advice: Greg Weissert was shaky in the eighth inning, but Jansen was able to get the last out of the frame with runners on the corners. The Red Sox added some insurance in the bottom of the eighth, and Jansen slammed the door in the ninth. The right-hander is up to 11 saves this season, though he has picked up just two of them over four appearances in June.     Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that there is a "high probability" Yamamoto (triceps) will be placed on the 15-day injured list, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

    Advice: The rookie right-hander indicated he didn't think the injury was anything serious after being pulled from Saturday's start. While Yamamoto will undergo further evaluations Sunday before an official move is made, it seems likely that the triceps tightness will require Yamamoto to miss a few starts, even if an IL move is mostly precautionary.     Criswell allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six over four innings in a no-decision versus the Yankees on Saturday.

    Advice: The Red Sox jumped out to a quick lead, but Criswell didn't pitch deep enough to qualify for the win. He needed 88 pitches (55 strikes) to complete his four frames, making this the seventh time in 12 appearances (11 starts) he's failed to complete five innings. The 27-year-old has a 4.15 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 49:13 K:BB over 52 innings this season. Criswell is tentatively projected to make his next appearance on the road versus the Reds.     Yamamoto (triceps) felt tightness during warmups but didn't think it was severe enough to miss Saturday's start and doesn't think the injury is serious, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

    Advice: Yamamoto will undergo further evaluation after leaving Saturday's game, but he doesn't feel as though the injury is anything significant. Per Juan Toribio of MLB.com, the triceps tightness was the reason for Yamamoto's start being pushed back from Thursday to Saturday, meaning the injury has isn't necessarily new. With Bobby Miller (shoulder) expected to return and start Wednesday, the Dodgers could temporarily utilize a six-man rotation to give Yamamoto extra rest.     Advice: Pepiot looked to be on his game with four scoreless innings to begin his outing, but things fell apart for him in the fifth. In that frame, the right-hander gave up three home runs -- all with two out -- to account for five Atlanta runs. It marked the first time this season Pepiot has given up three home homers in a game, and the long balls prevented him from finishing five frames for the third time this season.   • Ty Blach holds Pirates to two runs in victory
    Ty Blach held the Pirates to a pair of runs in 5 2/3 innings in a victory over the Pirates on Saturday.

    Advice: Blach gave up seven hits and issued one walk with five strikeouts. The veteran southpaw continues to give up plenty of baserunners — 25 hits allowed over his last three starts — but he was able to get out of jams for the most part to get his third win of the season.   • Jared Jones allows six runs in loss to Rockies
    Jared Jones allowed six runs over his 4 2/3 innings while picking up a loss to the Rockies on Saturday.

    Advice: Jones was not great, and the Pittsburgh bullpen allowed 10 more runs to score in a 16-4 blowout loss to the Rockies. The right-hander gave up six hits, and he also walked four on a night where the command just wasn’t there for the 22-year-old. He still was able to strike out six, and his rookie campaign has certainly been a success even with a couple of so-so outings as of late.   • Lugo gets 10th win after six strong vs. Dodgers
    Seth Lugo gave up two runs in six innings to get a win against the Dodgers on Saturday.

    Advice: The victory is already the 10th of the season for Lugo. The right-hander allowed a two-run single to Gavin Lux in the fourth, but outside of that he handled the Dodgers lineup without many issues. He scattered six hits allowed while walking just one and striking out four. Lugo has been excellent in 2024, and it’d be a surprise if he wasn’t an All-Star at this point.     Kenley Jansen picked up his 11th save of the season on Saturday night, recording the final four outs against the Yankees.

    Advice: Jansen came on to put out a fire in the eighth inning with two men on and two outs with the Red Sox clinging to a two-run advantage. He got Anthony Volpe to fly out to right field to end the threat — then returned to work a perfect ninth inning to close it out.
