The 28-year-old utility man has been especially hot since the calendar turned to May, hitting .366 (11-for-30) this month.     Travis d’Arnaud was pulled from Friday night’s battle against the Padres due to a head contusion.

    Advice: The 35-year-old backstop was dizzy after taking a foul ball off of his mask, prompting his removal from the game. The good news, is that he passed the initial concussion tests without issue, but he will be evaluated again on Saturday before the team makes a determination on his status.     Adley Rutschman went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and a pair of runs scored as the Orioles routed the Mariners on Friday evening at Camden Yards.

    Advice: Rutschman singled and scored during the Orioles’ five-run uprising off of Bryce Miller in the first inning. The 26-year-old backstop then plated Gunnar Henderson with an RBI double off of Kirby Snead in the seventh inning and raced around to score on an RBI double off the bat of Austin Hays.     Miguel Amaya hit just his second homer of the year in the eighth inning Friday to break up the Pirates’ shutout bid in a Cubs loss.

    Advice: Amaya’s homer projected at 374 feet and would have gone out of 10 ballparks, according to Statcast. In spite of Amaya’s struggles offensively — he’s batting .184/.248/.297 — the Cubs have continued to give him most of the starts behind the plate.
