    • Jo Adell smacks two-run homer Sunday in loss
Jo Adell hammered a two-run homer on Sunday in the Angels’ loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Adell made things interesting in the ninth inning with a two-out homer off Tigers reliever Shelby Miller to bring the Halos within one run at the time, but their surreal comeback effort came up just short, and their six-game winning streak was also snapped in the process. The 25-year-old has cratered back to Earth in June after such a promising start to the year. He’s batting .139 (11-for-79) with two homers, one steal and 26 strikeouts since June 1. It’s not what you want. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:07 pm

    • Set to be activated Monday
Mitchell (finger) will join the Brewers in Denver on Monday and will be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of the series opener against the Rockies, Adam McCalvy of MLB.comreports.

Advice: The 25-year-old has missed the first three months of the season due to a fractured finger, but he's ready to join the Brewers after a 14-game rehab assignment in the minor leagues. Milwaukee will now have a major logjam in the outfield, with Mitchell joining a group of Christian Yelich, Blake Perkins, Sal Frelick and Jackson Chourio. Frelick saw time at third base during spring training, but Joey Ortiz (neck) has played his way into the starting job during the first half. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:24 pm
    • On bench Sunday
Taveras is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: It's the second straight game on the bench for Taveras despite having a .782 OPS in his past 11 games. Derek Hill will take over in center field and bat seventh in the series finale at Baltimore. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:56 pm

    • Rejoining lineup Sunday
Hays (knee) is starting in left field and batting fifth Sunday against the Rangers, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Hays hasn't been in the lineup since Tuesday while battling knee soreness, but he may have been on the bench the past few days regardless of the injury since Baltimore faced four straight right-handed starters. The 28-year-old will return to the starting nine Sunday as lefty Andrew Heaney takes the mound for Texas. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:13 pm

    • Austin Hays (knee) returns to lineup Sunday
Austin Hays (knee) is hitting fifth and playing left field Sunday against the Rangers.

Advice: Hays missed time while dealing with soreness in his right knee, but the outfielder is feeling well enough to hit against Andrew Heaney and the Texas pitching staff. Rotoworld Sunday, 12:52 pm

    • Idle against lefty
Wisely is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Wisely will take a seat in favor of the righty-hitting Tyler Fitzgerald, who will cover second base while the Giants face off against southpaw James Paxton. Though he's still holding down a strong-side platoon role in the middle infield, Wisely's run as the Giants' primary leadoff man versus right-handed pitching has come to an end in the wake of LaMonte Wade's return from the injured list Friday. Wade had actually batted second both of the previous two days against right-handed pitching, but Jorge Soler moved into the leadoff spot while Wisely dropped to eighth in the order. • On bench again Sunday
Rosario is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Advice: Rosario has a .450 OPS through 19 games in June and will sit Sunday for the second consecutive day. The 32-year-old's roster spot could be in jeopardy with top prospect James Wood set to be called up for his MLB debut Monday. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:16 am

    • Won't start Sunday
Laureano (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Laureano will miss a fourth straight start while he contends with back soreness. Adam Duvall will get another turn in right field in place of Laureano, who is considered day-to-day. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:24 am

    • Being evaluated for activation
The Diamondbacks will assess Sunday whether Thomas (hamstring) is ready to be activated from the 10-day injured list, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Thomas played in rehab games Friday and Saturday for Triple-A Reno. He started in center field and played nine innings on both occasions. The outfielder has a combined 32 plate appearances while on his rehab assignment and is hitting .310/.344/.483 between stops with Reno and the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.
