    • Carpenter leaves the yard Monday
      Kerry Carpenter went 2-for-3 with a double, a solo home run, a sacrifice, two runs scored and two RBI against the Royals on Monday.



      Advice: The home run was Carpenter’s sixth of the season. He’s hitting .285 with an .893 OPS with the majority of his at-bats coming against right-handed pitching. It can certainly be frustrating for fantasy managers when Carpenter is on the bench against left-handed starters or gets pinch-hit for late in games. He was 16-for-68 (.235) against left-handed pitchers in 2023, though, so it’s hard to argue the logic even on nights when it’s readily apparent that Carpenter is the Tigers’ best offensive weapon.

      Springer went 1-for-2 with two walks, a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Sunday's win over the Rays.

      Advice: Dropped to sixth in the batting order over the weekend, Springer responded to the move by getting on base three times, leading to his first multi-run performance since April 14. The veteran outfielder hasn't had a multi-hit game since April 24 though, slashing .156/.214/.203 in 17 contests since then without a homer.       Advice: Stanton doubled home a run in the first inning and added a solo homer in the third. The long ball was his second in as many days and his third over his past four games. Stanton is enjoying a big month of May, slashing .308/.333/.654 with five homers and 10 RBI through 13 games, though he's also struck out 35.2 percent of the time.       Jazz Chisholm went 3-for-5 with three runs scored, three RBI and a home run against the Mets.



      Advice: Chisholm’s home run was his sixth of the year. Despite coming into this season in better shape, he hasn’t seen a significant uptick in his production. Chisholm has stayed healthy, which has been a problem for him in the past, but his numbers are fairly similar to last season’s pace across the board.

      Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and a walk against the White Sox on Saturday.

      Advice: Stanton doubled in the first inning to drive in a run for the Yankees. He then homered off Brad Keller in the third before drawing a walk to reach for a third time in the fifth inning. The 34-year-old slugger is heating up along with the rest of the Yankees lineup. He’s now had multiple hits in four of his last five games, including three homers. Stanton is hitting .258/.309/.530 with 11 homers and 26 RBI across 162 plate appearances. Rotoworld Saturday, 12:43 pm

      Stanton went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 4-2 win over the White Sox.

      Advice: He crushed a Tanner Banks fastball down the left-field line on the first pitch he saw to lead off the sixth inning. Stanton has stayed healthy so far this season and is already at 10 long balls through 39 games, giving him a shot at his first 40-homer campaign since 2017 if he can avoid lengthy injury absences. His 33.5 percent strikeout rate -- which would be the worst mark of his career if it doesn't come down -- indicates how one-dimensional the 34-year-old has become at this stage of his career, however.       Kerry Carpenter drove in four runs while going 2-for-5 in a blowout win Friday over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Carpenter tripled in two runs in the third and doubled home a pair more in the fifth. The 26-year-old has plated 22 runs in 44 games for the Tigers — a pace of 81 for the season — while hitting .276 with an .848 OPS. You can do a lot worse. Rotoworld Friday, 9:23 pm

      Carpenter went 2-for-5 with a triple, a double, four RBI and one run scored in Friday's 13-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Carpenter knocked in two runs with a third-inning triple and added a two-run double to cap a six-run rally in the fifth. The outfielder has gone 9-for-26 (.346) with seven extra-base hits and seven RBI over his last seven contests. That's put him at a .276/.328/.520 slash line with five home runs, 22 RBI, 15 runs scored, nine doubles and three triples through 41 contests as one of the Tigers' most productive hitters this season.
