    • Devin Williams (back) to resume throwing in May
Devin Williams (back) is scheduled to begin playing catch in two weeks.

Advice: Williams opened the season on the injured list recovering from a pair of stress fractures in his back and isn’t expected to return to Milwaukee’s closer role until around midseason. The 29-year-old All-Star stopper should kick off his throwing program in a few weeks, if not sooner, and be ready to progress to bullpen sessions at some point in June before starting a minor league rehab assignment. • Back from suspension Saturday
Peralta was reinstated from his five-game suspension and will start Saturday's game against the Cardinals in Milwaukee.

Advice: Peralta was handed the five-game ban for throwing at the Rays' Jose Siri in an April 30 game, but he initially appealed the suspension and made his next turn through the rotation this past Sunday against the Cubs. He dropped his appeal a day later and began serving the ban, which concluded Friday. Peralta was presumably able to stay on his usual between-starts throwing regimen while he was suspended, so he shouldn't face any restrictions with his pitch count as he returns to the rubber Saturday. • Stuck with loss in quality start
Pfaadt (1-3) took the loss Friday as the Diamondbacks fell 4-2 to the Orioles, giving up three runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. He failed to strikeout a batter.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander produced his third straight quality start and fourth of the season on 88 pitches (56 strikes), but Pfaadt generated only six swinging strikes as he came up empty in the strikeout department for the first time in 26 big-league starts -- in fact, he'd never fanned fewer than three batters in an outing before Friday. Pfaadt will take a 4.60 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 42:8 K:BB through 47 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next week against the Reds. Rotowire.com Today, 6:09 am
    • Willy Adames doubles three times versus Cards
Willy Adames doubled three times and knocked in two runs Friday versus the Cardinals.

Advice: Not only is Adames exceeding expectations with his .265/.351/.476 line, but his seven steals are just one off his career high. Last year, he was 5-for-8 stealing bases in 149 games. This year, he’s 7-for-8 in 38 games. We wouldn’t expect him to keep that up, but it’s hard not to view him as a top-10 shortstop at this point. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:38 pm

    • Laces three doubles
Adames went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's victory over St. Louis.

Advice: Adames managed to collect all three of his doubles from different Cardinals pitchers, hitting one each off Lance Lynn, Matthew Liberatore and Kyle Leahy. With his effort Friday night, the Brewers shortstop reached double-digit two-baggers, sporting 10 doubles on the season. Overall, Adames is hitting .265/.351/.476 with seven home runs, 23 runs scored and 27 RBI over 168 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:00 pm

    • Scores thrice in win
Contreras went 1-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored in Friday's win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Contreras was the offensive catalyst for the Brewers on Friday night as he crossed the plate a team-high three times. He also collected his third multi-walk game of the season, which may become a more common occurrence given his breakout season. The 26-year-old catcher is slashing .340/.420/.520 with five homers, 30 RBI and 35 runs scored over 174 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:58 pm
    • Luis Arraez hits walk-off single against Dodgers
Luis Arraez hit a walk-off RBI single to give the Padres a 2-1 win over the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: With the score tied 1-1, Arraez picked up his first game-winning hit as a member of the Padres with a single to score Tyler Wade off Michael Grove. The 27-year-old has just seven RBI in his time with the Marlins and San Diego, but he should have more chances to drive in runs — even at the top of the lineup — now that he’s not playing for one of the worst teams in baseball. • Takes fourth loss
Jones (2-4) took the loss Friday against the Cubs, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Jones allowed a solo homer to Cody Bellinger in the first inning before the Cubs tacked on runs in the fifth and sixth. The 22-year-old Jones has yet to allow more than three runs in a start this season -- his ERA sits at 2.68 with a 0.87 WHIP and 56:7 K:BB across 47 innings in his rookie campaign. Jones is currently lined up for a rematch with Chicago on the road in his next start. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:50 pm
    • Brandon Pfaadt goes without a strikeout in loss
Brandon Pfaadt dropped to 1-3 after allowing three runs in six innings Friday against the Orioles.

Advice: Pfaadt managed to turn in a solid outing despite going without a strikeout tonight. He had never fanned fewer than three batters in 26 major league starts. Pfaadt’s ERA stands at 4.60. His 42/8 K/BB ratio in 47 innings is nice, but he’s looking a little too hittable with his velocity down one mph from last year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:32 pm
