• Nabs fourth steal
Freeman went 2-for-3 with a double and a stolen base in Monday's 2-1 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Freeman opened May 1-for-12 across four contests, and his last multi-hit effort before Monday was April 19. The 24-year-old is slashing just .204/.301/.347 this season while adding three home runs, four steals, 12 RBI, 17 runs scored and five doubles across 113 plate appearances. With Steven Kwan (hamstring) landing on the injured list Monday, Freeman should have more job security in center field while Estevan Florial, Ramon Laureano and Will Brennan combine to fill the corner outfield spots. • Maikel Garcia drives in two in win against MIL
Maikel Garcia went 1-for-2 with a two-run RBI single to help lift the Royals to a 3-2 win versus the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: It wasn’t pretty, but it got the job done. Garcia got great contact on a sinker off Elvis Peguero in the sixth inning that got in between shortstop and second base. According to Statcast, the hit probability was just 41%, but with an exit velocity of 106.5 MPH, Garcia definitely earned the hit. The 24-year-old is slashing .236/.292/.671 with four homers and 22 RBI this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:36 pm

  • Carlos Correa doubles twice in win over Mariners
Carlos Correa doubled twice with an RBI in a win over the Mariners on Monday.

Advice: Correa got the Twins on the board with an RBI double in the fifth inning. The shortstop also doubled in the seventh and scored the go-ahead run a couple batters later. Correa has doubled four times and is slashing .279/.392/.393 in his limited sample. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:53 pm
  • Draws rare start
Wendle will start at second base and bat seventh in Monday's game against the Cardinals, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: Wendle will start for just the ninth time through the Mets' 35 games this season, handling second base while Jeff McNeil gets a look in left field. The 34-year-old will likely to continue seeing light use in his utility role unless the Mets lose one of their regular infielders to injury. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:33 pm

  • Pablo Reyes sent outright to Triple-A by Boston
Red Sox sent INF Pablo Reyes outright to Triple-A Worcester.

Advice: Reyes was designated for assignment and went unclaimed. The 30-year-old could elect free agency, but he also has the option to just report back to the minors to provide organizational depth. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:36 pm

  • Remains in organization
The Red Sox outrighted Reyes to Triple-A Worcester on Monday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: Reyes no longer has a spot on the 40-man roster, but he'll remain in the organization as utility depth. He's put up a .183/.234/.217 batting line over 61 plate appearances with the big club in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:20 pm

  • Tommy Edman (wrist) moved to 60-day IL
Cardinals transferred Tommy Edman from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Edman now won’t be eligible to return for the Cardinals until the end of May as he recovers from his wrist injury. Chris Raycroft was selected from Triple-A Memphis with the added roster room. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:14 pm

  • Back in action Monday
Lopez (adductor) will start at second base and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Lopez was held out of the lineup for Sunday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals with adductor soreness, but the injury was apparently just a minor concern. After serving as the White Sox's leadoff hitter in each of his last 12 starts, the lefty-hitting Lopez will drop the bottom of the order Monday, likely because Chicago is opposing a southpaw in Tyler Alexander. • May begin rehab assignment this week
Urshela (hamstring) could join Triple-A Toledo this week to begin a rehab assignment, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: Urshela remained with the Tigers for Monday's series opener in Cleveland and was spotted doing some pregame running on the field in what McCosky describes as a potential final test before the third baseman is cleared for a rehab assignment. Before landing on the 10-day injured list April 20, Urshela slashed .298/.310/.333 over 58 plate appearances with the Tigers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:57 pm
