• Ibanez on base five times in Tigers victory Tuesday
Andy Ibanez erupts for four hits, two home runs and four RBI in win over the Guardians

Advice: Ibanez was on base five times as he went 4-for-4 with two home runs, a double and a walk. He’s a part-time player who sees most of his at-bats against left-handed pitching, but that could change with the rest of the Tigers offense floundering. Ibanez is now 8-for-18 since returning from the injured list on April 30th. In 35 at-bats this year, he’s hitting .364. Rotoworld 20 minutes ago

  • Nearing light activity
Bailey (concussion) could start light baseball activity Wednesday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Bailey was placed on the 7-day injured list with a concussion Saturday and is now on the cusp of returning to log some activity on the field, according to manager Bob Melvin. The catcher will need to ramp up his work over a few days before he'd potentially be able to return to the lineup. In the meantime, Blake Sabol will likely continue to handle most the work behind the plate due to Tom Murphy (knee) also being unavailable. Rotowire.com Today, 5:11 pm
  • Melvin: Patrick Bailey (concussion) ‘improving’
Patrick Bailey (concussion) is expected to resume light baseball activities this week.

Advice: Giants manager Bob Melvin told reporters Tuesday that Bailey is improving after landing on the concussion injured list over the weekend. There is obviously no timetable for the 24-year-old backstop’s return at this juncture. Rotoworld Today, 5:07 pm
  • Marlins transfer Xavier Edwards to 60-day IL
Marlins transferred INF Xavier Edwards to the 60-day injured list.

  • Moves to 60-day IL
The Marlins transferred Edwards (foot) to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Edwards' move to the 60-day IL will make him ineligible to return until May 27, though it remains unclear whether or not he'll be able to play by then. The 24-year-old has been slowly working his way back from a bacterial infection in his left foot that has kept him on the shelf since the beginning of the season. Rotowire.com Today, 4:18 pm

  • Battling illness
Moreno isn't in the Diamondbacks' lineup Tuesday against the Reds due to an illness, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Manager Torey Lovullo said Moreno will be available off the bench Tuesday, but the Diamondbacks will likely do everything they can to give him the day off to rest. Tucker Barnhart is starting behind the plate and batting eighth in Moreno's place. Rotowire.com Today, 3:24 pm

  • Resumes swinging
Manager Scott Servais said Tuesday that he has seen video of Canzone (shoulder) swinging at the Mariners' complex in Arizona, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Servais seemed pleased with the progress Canzone has made since landing on the injured list April 15. However, he noted that Canzone will require an extended rehab assignment, so the 26-year-old outfielder is likely still a few weeks away from returning to the Mariners' lineup. • Gabriel Moreno sitting out Tuesday due to illness
