    • Walks it off Tuesday
Gonzalez went 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Giants.

Advice: His second single of the night was clutch, as Gonzalez smacked a single up the middle on the first pitch he saw in the bottom of the 10th to bring home Michael Taylor as the phantom runner. Gonzalez took a while to adjust to the pros after being selected seventh overall in the 2020 Draft, but the 24-year-old seems to be coming into his own -- after erupting for a 1.039 OPS in 30 games for Triple-A Indianapolis prior to his promotion, he's produced a .282/.310/.462 slash line in 11 contests for Pittsburgh with two homers, one steal, five runs and nine RBI. • Settles for quality start Tuesday
Webb came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Pirates, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander delivered his third straight quality start and eighth of 2024 on 103 pitches (72 strikes), and Webb left the mound in line for his fifth win of the year only to watch Camilo Doval blow his first save of the season in the ninth inning. Webb will take a 3.03 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 53:18 K:BB through 65.1 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road this weekend against the Mets. Rotowire.com Today, 7:29 am

    • Hitless since return
Lowe went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts Tuesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Lowe was activated from the injured list Monday and made his second straight start at second base. He's gone hitless across seven plate appearances while striking out three times. Lowe has hit third and fourth in the two contests against right-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Today, 6:09 am

    • Completes five innings Tuesday
Bradish allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out six over five innings Tuesday versus the Cardinals before the game was suspended due to inclement weather in the sixth inning.

Advice: Bradish likely had more in the tank after throwing 74 pitches (52 strikes), but there's virtually no chance he pitches when play resumes Wednesday. Bradish has looked dialed in through four starts so far, but he's yet to pitch past the fifth inning after having his workload managed following a UCL strain that shelved him for the first month of the season. The right-hander is at a 2.41 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB over 18.2 innings so far. Bradish is lined up to make his next start on the road against the White Sox, a favorable spot for him to potentially earn his first quality start of 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:11 pm
    • Homer, steal in extra-inning loss
Harris went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Harris started May in a dreadful 0-for-26 slump, but he's snapped out of it by going 10-for-39 (.256) with two homers, two steals, four RBI and three runs scored over his last 10 contests. The outfielder is slashing .250/.289/.378 with five homers, seven steals, 17 RBI and 19 runs scored through 45 games this season. Harris hit over .290 and flirted with 20-20 years in each of his first two big-league campaigns, so there's still another level he can get back to as he rebounds from his slump. • Walks four in no-decision
Morton allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and four walks while striking out eight over five innings in a no-decision versus the Cubs on Tuesday.

Advice: Morton's last two starts have been against the Cubs, and they've managed to give him some control issues -- he walked seven batters over eight innings in those games. Tuesday's road outing was better than his start last Wednesday in Atlanta, but it still doesn't inspire a ton of confidence. The veteran right-hander is now at a 3.35 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 52:21 K:BB over 51 innings through nine starts this season. Morton's next start is projected to be at home versus the Nationals. • Charlie Morton fans eight in no-decision
Charlie Morton was uninvolved in the decision against the Cubs on Tuesday after allowing two runs — one earned — in five innings against the Cubs.

Advice: Morton matched his season high with eight strikeouts. In the entire history of MLB, only Nolan Ryan (five times), Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens and Orlando Hernández have managed to strike out at least a batter an inning at age 40 or over (min. 130 innings). Morton, with 52 Ks in 51 IP to date, has a chance to join the club. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:32 pm
    • Kyle Bradish solid for five in suspended game
Kyle Bradish pitched five innings of one-run ball before Tuesday’s game against the Cardinals was suspended.

Advice: Bradish won’t be involved in the decision in the 1-1 game. He allowed four hits, walked one and struck out six in lowering his ERA to 2.41. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:56 pm
    • Nick Gonzales delivers walk-off hit vs SF
Nick Gonzales went 2-for-5 with a game-winning single in a 7-6 win over the Giants in 10 innings on Tuesday.

Advice: The 24-year-old laced a 98 mph single off Erik Miller to score the game-winning run after David Bednar stranded the inherited runner on second in the top half of the inning. Gonzales is now hitting .282/.310/.462 with nine RBI in 11 games since being called up from Triple-A. Considering he had also made some real strides in his plate discipline at Triple-A and was hitting .358 in 30 games, Gonzales might be worth an add in deeper formats while he’s playing every day in Pittsburgh.
