    • Pops third homer
Raley went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: Raley continues to profile as one of the inconsistent Mariners' more reliable hitters after a slow start to his team tenure, with Tuesday's homer his second in as many games. Raley's season average and OPS are up to a solid .265 and .729, respectively, and he sports a .357/.419/.714 slash line over the 31 plate appearances encompassing his last nine games. • Enjoys big game Monday
Raley went 3-for-4 with a home run, two total runs, three total RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 6-2 victory against Kansas City.

Advice: Raley put Seattle on the scoreboard in the second inning with a 432-foot, two-run blast to to center field, and he added a run-scoring single in the third. The 29-year-old was batting just .218 through the end of April, but he's now at .266 with a strong start to May. Though nine games this month, he's gone 9-for-24 (.375) with two long balls, six RBI and seven runs. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:38 pm

    • Luke Raley homers, plates three in win over Royals
Luke Raley homered, drove in three runs and stole a base Monday in a 6-2 win over the Royals.

Advice: Raley has been excellent in May, and this was easily his best game in a Mariner uniform. The outfielder scored a two-run homer off Brady Singer in the second inning, and he drove in another with an RBI single in the third. The outfielder also stole his second base of the season, and he’s athletic enough to project more if he can continue to get on base. At this point, it sure seems likely that Raley is going to see much more consistent playing time than he did to begin the year. Rotoworld Monday, 9:17 pm

    • Nearing rehab stint
Jones (back) will join Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday but will not immediately begin a rehab assignment, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Jones is traveling to Albuquerque with Kris Bryant (back), but he's behind his teammate in his recovery process. He'll continue to ramp up his activity prior to appearing in games, but the Rockies hope he'll be ready to return from the 10-day injured list by late May. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:14 am

    • Idle against lefty
Raley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Raley will retreat to the bench for the series finale with southpaw Alex Wood on the hill for Oakland. Raley's platoon mate, Sam Haggerty, will draw the start in left field. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:42 am

    • Nolan Jones heading out on rehab assignment
Nolan Jones (back) will join Triple-A Albuquerque to begin a minor league rehab assignment next week.

Advice: Kris Bryant (back) will start his rehab assignment on Tuesday, with Jones likely a day or two behind him. Rockies’ manager Bud Black said Sunday that both injured outfielders could return to the team at some point during their upcoming road trip. Rotoworld Saturday, 2:19 pm

    • Multi-hit effort in loss
Raley went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in a loss to the Twins on Thursday.

Advice: Raley provided the only meaningful offense for the Mariners in the 11-1 loss, driving in Mitch Haniger with a second-inning knock. Raley has picked it up nicely at the plate since late April, forging a .375batting average and .923 OPS across 26 plate appearances in his last 10 games. However, his strikeout rate during that stretch is still a bloated 30.8 percent, an albatross on Raley's offensive profile that has been a constant presence throughout his time in the majors. • Ready to increase activity
Jones (back) did light throwing prior to Thursday's game against the Giants and will continue to ramp up his activity Friday or Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Jones has been out since April 30 and did light throwing and running drills Saturday. If this weekend goes according to plan, he could head out on a rehab assignment in the coming days. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:16 pm

    • Absent from Tuesday's lineup
Bohm is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: It's Bohm's first day off since April 15. Kody Clemens will handle third base Tuesday while Bohm grabs a seat. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:04 pm
