      Iglesias picked up the save Sunday against Oakland, tossing a perfect inning with no strikeouts.

      Advice: Iglesias needed just nine pitches to retire Zack Gelof, Kyle McCann and Max Shuemann in order. The 34-year-old is 15-for-17 on save chances this season and has allowed one hit in his last five innings of work.       Senga (shoulder/triceps) took part in light-to-moderate throwing on the field Saturday, Pat Ragazzo of SI.com reports.

      Advice: Mets manager Carlos Mendoza characterized Senga's throwing as being mechanical in nature, but the activity nonetheless represents a step in the right direction after the Mets shut down the right-hander in late May, when he received a cortisone injection to address inflammation in his triceps. Senga initially opened the season on the injured list with a right posterior shoulder capsule strain before he experienced tightness in his triceps in May. Even though he's resumed his throwing program, Senga is without a clear timeline for a return. Given the multiple checkpoints he'll need to hit in his rehab prior to being activated from the 60-day IL, Senga looks unlikely to be activated until at least July.       Raisel Iglesias pitched a clean ninth inning on Sunday against the Athletics to earn the save.

      Advice: Iglesias grabbed another save, but once again did not strike a batter out. His 18.6 K% entering play Sunday is by far the lowest for any reliever with at least 10 saves and should give some concern moving forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:26 pm

      Hader picked up a save against the Twins on Saturday, striking out one batter over a scoreless inning.

      Advice: It was a relatively easy save chance for Hader, as he entered with a three-run lead. The southpaw had worked in a non-save situation in each of his previous three appearances, though he's clearly still in control of Houston's closer role. Hader has had a few rough outings this season but is 8-for-9 in save chances and has allowed just three earned runs and struck out 33 batters over his past 19.1 innings.       Valdez (4-3) earned the win over Minnesota on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out four batters over seven innings.

      Advice: Valdez needed a modest 85 pitches to get through seven frames before turning the game over to the bullpen. He notched his second straight quality start and fourth over his past five contests. Overall, Valdez has given up three or fewer earned runs in seven of his nine starts on the campaign.       Detmers (3-6) took the loss Saturday against the Mariners, allowing five runs on four hits and four walks with three strikeouts in 3.2 innings. He was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake after the start.

      Advice: Detmers started the season as one of the Angels' top starters and garnered wins in each of his first three starts, striking out 26 batters with two runs allowed across 17.1 innings. However, he hasn't gotten in the win column since. Outside of a decent 8.9 K/9 across his last 40.1 innings, nothing has been working for Detmers lately, as he's allowed 10 long balls and 20 walks over that stretch. The 24-year-old was a reliable arm for Los Angeles the past two seasons and it's possible that a Triple-A stint will help the southpaw regain some confidence and find his previous form.       Angels optioned LHP Reid Detmers to Triple-A Salt Lake.

      Advice: The 24-year-old southpaw was hit hard again in Saturday’s loss to the Mariners — giving up five runs over 3 2/3 innings — and that was apparently the last straw. Detmers has posted a miserable 6.14 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and a 70/27 K/BB ratio over 63 innings through 12 starts on the season. He’ll work to refine his craft at the Triple-A level before hopefully rejoining the Angels’ rotation later in the season.       Advice: Detmers gave up four hits, walked four and struck out three. He continues to struggle as he’s now allowed at least four runs in seven of his last eight starts. Detmers hasn’t won a game since winning his first three starts of the season. His ERA is now the worst it’s been all year at 6.14.     • Framber Valdez spins seven strong in win over MIN
      Framber Valdez gave up just one hit on two runs while working seven innings to get a win Saturday against the Twins.

      Advice: Valdez did issue two walks, but he was able to keep the self-inflicted damage to a low roar while striking out four. The southpaw has gone seven innings in three of his last five starts, and he hasn’t allowed more than two runs in any of those outings.
