      Garrett Crochet allowed three runs with eight strikeouts across six innings in a loss to the Astros on Wednesday.

      Advice: Crochet came into this one on a roll, not allowing more than two runs over each of his last nine starts. The Astros got to him for three on Wednesday, starting with three hits and a groundout to bring a run across in the third inning. A walk and two hits brought another run in to score in the fourth. After a scoreless fifth, Crochet allowed one more run in on a double and a base hit in the sixth. He still generated 19 whiffs to strike out eight batters.       Advice: Canning hadn't given up more than four earned runs in any of his last 11 outings, but the Brewers got to him early and often in this contest. He's now lost four straight starts, and he's gone six outings without a win. The right-hander is at a 5.02 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 54:29 K:BB through 80.2 innings over 15 starts this season. There’s little here to suggest continued dominance for Myers, but the Brewers have gotten quality results out of average arms and they back their pitchers with above average offense and defense. Over that span dating back to May 13, Lorenzen has pitched to a 1.88 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 27:16 K:BB in 43 innings.
