    • Kyle Tucker slugs eighth homer in loss to Guardians
Kyle Tucker went 1-for-4 with a solo homer on Wednesday against the Guardians.

Advice: Trailing by one run, Tucker led off the seventh inning with the game-tying homer off of Triston McKenzie. The 27-year-old star has gone deep in three of his last four games, giving him eight homers while slashing .298/.407/.570 with 21 runs scored, 21 RBI, and five steals across 136 plate appearances. • Scratched Wednesday
Moreno was scratched from the Diamondbacks' lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Moreno underwent a dental procedure before Wednesday's game and was scratched as a precaution. Tucker Barnhart will fill in behind the plate and bat ninth, and Moreno should be able to return to the lineup Friday. Rotowire.com Today, 5:27 pm

    • Freddy Peralta suspended five games
Freddy Peralta was suspended five games after hitting Jose Siri on Tuesday.

Advice: Peralta was having another stellar outing for the Brewers on Tuesday and the only run he allowed was a home run from Jose Siri. Later in the game, Peralta hit Siri in the sixth inning which was deemed an intentional act by the home plate umpire and led to his ejection, as well as Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy. Peralta will appeal the five-game suspension handed to him by Major League Baseball, while Murphy was given a two-game suspension which he is serving starting on Wednesday. • Gets five-game ban, will appeal
Peralta was suspended five games by Major League Baseball on Wednesday for intentionally throwing at the Rays' Jose Siri in Tuesday's 8-2 win, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. He'll appeal the suspension.

Advice: The right-hander was ejected from Tuesday's contest after the umpiring crew concluded that Peralta threw at Siri intentionally one plate appearance after Siri had hit a home run. Since Peralta is appealing the suspension, he should be able to make his next scheduled start on Sunday against the Cubs, if the appeal process isn't completed before then. • Resuming rehab assignment
Lowe (oblique/hamstring) will resume a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe, who opened the season on the 10-day injured list with an oblique strain, was expected to be activated last weekend, but his return to the 26-man active roster was delayed after he experienced right hamstring tightness in a rehab game at Durham. However, the feeling is that Lowe experienced only a minor setback, and he's since been cleared to return to game action. Lowe will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis at Durham to determine when he can return from the IL to make his season debut for the big club. Rotowire.com Today, 9:56 am

    • Josh Lowe to start second rehab assignment Thurs.
Rays sent Josh Lowe (hamstring) on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham for Thursday.

Advice: It’s been a frustrating process for the Rays and fantasy managers who have Lowe rostered. The 26-year-old outfielder was supposed to be activated from the injured list this past weekend, but hamstring tightness while rehabbing delayed his return. Lowe will rehab with Durham on Thursday and will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis. Overall, it’s not what managers want to hear but it’s better to have him 100% healthy than risk another injury that could be prevented while with Tampa Bay. Rotoworld Today, 9:54 am

    • Blanks reds over five innings
Darvish (1-1) grabbed a win over the Reds on Tuesday, tossing five shutout innings while allowing just three hits in the outing. He struck three and did not walk a batter.

Advice: Darvish was finally able to pick up his first win of the season and help the Padres end a five-game losing streak. Tuesday was his first shutout effort since July 29 of last year. He was efficient, needing 70 pitches to get through five while inducing a bunch of weak contact. His strikeout numbers remain low in comparison to his career numbers, as he's now struck out three or fewer batters in three of his six starts so far. Still, Tuesday's outing was exactly what the Padres needed out of him, and he'll take a 3.45 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 25:10 K:BB into his next outing, which projects to be against the Cubs at the beginning of next week. • Steal, two RBI in loss
India went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Padres.

Advice: India delivered a two-run single in the sixth inning then put himself in scoring position with his third steal of the season. He took a turn at cleanup -- his first time this season -- as the Reds continue to work around the absence of primary cleanup hitter Christian Encarnacion-Strand (hand). India is 9-for-23 (.391) over six games since returning from an illness that cost him four days. Rotowire.com Today, 4:29 am

    • Strikes out seven before ejection
Peralta (3-0) earned the win Tuesday against Tampa Bay, allowing two earned runs on one hit while striking out seven batters across 5.1 innings.

Advice: Peralta was fantastic again Tuesday, needing just 66 pitches to get through 5.1 innings while only allowing one hit -- a Jose Siri home run. The 27-year-old pitcher wasn't showing any signs of slowing down on the mound, but his start came to an abrupt and controversial end when he hit Siri with a pitch in the sixth inning. The umpires deemed the HBP an intentional act, leading to Peralta's ejection from the game. Despite being tossed, Tuesday's outing was a strong bounce-back performance from his five-run showing Thursday against Pittsburgh. He has now struck out 45 batters in 33.2 innings this year and will carry a 3.21 ERA and 0.86 WHIP into his next start -- currently projected for Monday in Kansas City. Rotowire.com Today, 1:55 am
