    • Diagnosed with bone spur
Musgrove has been diagnosed with a bone spur and a bone bruise in his right elbow, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Musgrove got PRP and cortisone injections with the hopes of resuming throwing in two weeks. However, there is also the caveat that surgery will be required if healing does not occur. That leaves Musgrove's potential timeline to return to the mound unclear, though it would be surprising to see him back on the mound prior to the All-Star break with this most recent news. • Handed loss Wednesday
Kimbrel (4-2) allowed an unearned run on two hits over one-third of an inning, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Blue Jays.

Advice: Isiah Kiner-Falefa delivered a walk-off single in the ninth inning to hand Kimbrel his first loss since April 28. This also ended Kimbrel's scoreless streak at 7.2 innings, though he hasn't given up an earned run since May 8. The closer has a 2.95 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 31:9 K:BB and 13 saves in 16 chances through 21.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:13 pm
    • Craig Kimbrel takes loss to Blue Jays in ninth
Craig Kimbrel, who entered a tie game to start the bottom of the ninth, took a loss after giving up an unearned run Wednesday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: The unearned run was his own fault, as he threw the ball away on a pickoff attempt. The runners to reach against him both did so on singles, and Isiah Kiner-Falefa’s game-winning hit to right would have been caught if Kyle Stowers wasn’t playing shallow to prevent the sac fly with one out. It’s obviously a bad result, but since Kimbrel’s pitching wasn’t really the problem tonight, it’s unlikely to throw the closer’s role in Baltimore into chaos again. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:18 pm
    • Notches 19th save
Clase walked one and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his 19th save of the season in an 8-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: It didn't look like Clase would even get a save chance when the Guardians fell behind 5-0 early, but the right-hander had little trouble securing the comeback victory. Clase is tied for the league lead in saves with the Cardinals' Ryan Helsley, and the Cleveland closer hasn't given up an earned run since April 14 en route to a sparkling 0.30 ERA and 0.63 WHIP through 30.1 innings with a 31:3 K:BB. • Snares another win
Burnes (6-2) picked up the win Tuesday against Toronto, allowing one run on four hits and one walk across seven innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The lone run against Burnes came on a George Springer solo homer in the seventh frame. Burnes hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start this season and has logged eight straight quality starts. On the year, Burnes owns a 2.25 ERA with 76 strikeouts across 79.2 innings and is tied for the league lead in quality starts. Burnes is scheduled for a road start against the Rays on Sunday. • Corbin Burnes allows one earned run vs. Blue Jays
Corbin Burnes allowed one earned run and four hits over seven innings while picking up the win on Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Burnes was solid on the night, allowing just one run on four hits, with his lone blemish coming on a solo blast from George Springer. Manager Brandon Hyde paid a brief visit to the mound following the Springer home run, but Burnes got the nod to finish out the inning in what was his 10th quality start of the season. Burnes is now 6-2 with a 2.26 ERA on the season. He’ll look earn his seventh win in his next start which is scheduled for Sunday against the Rays. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:50 pm

    • Clase notches 19th save in win over Royals
Emmanuel Clase threw a scoreless ninth inning to close out an 8-5 win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Clase struck out two and walked one en route to his 19th save of the season. The right-hander has a minuscule 0.30 ERA and has been the best closer in fantasy baseball this season, earning tons of draft-day value for whoever took him in their leagues. • Roughed up in loss
Gore (4-5) took the loss Monday against the Mets, allowing six earned runs on seven hits and four walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Gore loaded the bases with one out in the fifth inning before departing, unfortunately reliever Dylan Floro allowed all three runners to score, adding three earned runs to Gore's stat line. Monday's outing was very uncharacteristic for the southpaw, who recorded a season-low two strikeouts and allowed more than two earned runs for the first time since April 19. After tonight's rough outing, the 25-year-old sports a 3.57 ERA, a 1.37 WHIP and 74 strikeouts in 63 innings pitched. Gore will look to rebound in his next start, tentatively scheduled for this weekend versus Atlanta. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:49 pm
    • Tyler Anderson throws quality start in no-decision
Tyler Anderson pitched 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball Monday against the Padres.

Advice: Anderson has made a mockery of the metrics all season, but especially lately; his last four starts have seen him allow a total of four runs even though he’s given up three homers and posted a 14/13 K/BB ratio in 26 2/3 innings. His 2.37 ERA on the year is more than two runs lower than his FIP. One imagines it will all catch up with him at some point. Rotoworld Monday, 9:19 pm
