    • Launches first homer
Kepler went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Saturday's win over the Angels.

Advice: Kepler drew a bases-loaded walk in the first to send home the Twins' first run of the game and added a leadoff single in his next at-bat before coming around to score on a Carlos Santana double. He then launched his first homer of the season in the sixth to increase Minnesota's lead, giving the outfielder just his third multi-hit performance of the campaign. However, all three of those performances have come over his last six games, raising his batting average from .125 to .231 over that stretch. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago
    • Allows just one run in win
Rodon (2-1) earned the win Saturday against the Brewers after he struck out eight and allowed one run on two hits and a walk over six innings.

Advice: The left-hander delivered seven scoreless frames in his previous start and followed up Saturday with a season-high eight strikeouts in Milwaukee, with the lone blemish against him being a solo homer from Rhys Hoskins in the opening frame. Rodon surrendered 15 long balls in 14 starts last season but has a 0.8 HR/9 through six outings in 2024. It's been an encouraging start to the campaign with a 2.48 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB across 32.2 innings. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago
    • Doubles, scores in loss
Alexander went 1-for-2 with a walk, double and run scored in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Seattle.

Advice: Alexander walked with two outs in the eighth inning and came around to score Arizona's lone run on Jake McCarthy's triple. The rookie shortstop has hit safely in six of the last seven contests, going 9-for-24 with six extra-base hits, nine RBI and four runs. Alexander's bat has played well, but defense could cost him opportunities. He ranks last among shortstops with minus-7 outs above average and minus-5 runs prevented. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago
    • Beat up early in loss
Soriano took the loss against the Twins on Saturday, allowing four runs on three hits and four walks over 1.2 innings while striking out one.

Advice: Soriano struggled right out of the gate, allowing two walks and a hit in the opening frame while also hitting Ryan Jeffers with a pitch. Things only got worse in the second when the right-hander beaned the leadoff man and managed to retire only two of the next six batters he faced before being relieved by Jose Suarez. It marked the shortest outing for Soriano this season and his third time allowing at least three runs in the campaign. He's also issued three or more walks in three consecutive starts. • Tagged for six runs
Quantrill (0-3) was charged with the loss Saturday against the Astros after he surrendered six runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Quantrill generated just six swinging strikes on 95 total pitches and served up multiple home runs in a start for the third time this year. He also walked multiple batters for the fourth time through six outings, and the poor performance ended a run of three straight quality starts. The 29-year-old righty has limited fantasy appeal with a 5.34 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 17:14 K:BB across 32 innings this season. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago
    • Picks up third win
Blanco (3-0) earned the win Saturday in Colorado after he gave up two runs on five hits and two walks across 5.2 innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: The right-hander surrendered a two-run homer to Ryan McMahon in the opening frame but otherwise had no issues pitching at altitude. Blanco came up an out short of extending his streak of quality starts to five, but it was yet another strong performance. The 30-year-old has been a bright spot amid a horrible start to the season for Houston with a 1.65 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB across 32.2 innings. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

    • Plans to make next turn
Gallen (hamstring) expressed optimism Saturday that he will make his next scheduled start, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Advice: A day after Gallen was removed from a start, the right-hander said he was "encouraged" by the progress made overnight. His next projected turn comes Wednesday at home against the Dodgers. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago

    • Launches two massive homers
Alvarez went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI during Saturday's 12-4 win at Colorado.

Advice: The Houston slugger busted out of a 5-for-25 slump Saturday with two homers that each went 461 feet. Alvarez is off to a bit of a slow start in 2024 with what would be a career-worst .867 OPS, but he's still been plenty productive with seven homers, 17 RBI and 18 runs through 27 games. • Slugs first homer
Hayes went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's win over the Giants.

Advice: Hayes jumped on a hanging sweeper from Tyler Rogers in the top of the 10th and sent it into the stands for his first home run of the season, going back-to-back with Bryan Reynolds as the Pirates took care of the Giants in extra innings. The third baseman has now registered two hits in back-to-back games and in three of his last six overall, batting .333 (8-for-24) over that stretch. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago
