    • Homers, plates three RBI in win
Garver went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, a walk and three RBI in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Garver extended the Mariners' lead with a two-run blast in the fifth and also got things rolling for the M's with an RBI single in the opening frame. The two hits ended a mini three-game slump for the 33-year-old, though he's still been hitting well in May, slashing .300/.405/.567 with two homers, six RBI and five runs over his last eight games. • Could be activated Tuesday
Buxton (knee) ran the bases at Target Field on Saturday, and the Twins are optimistic he can be activated from the injured list Tuesday, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: The Twins have an off day Monday, but it sounds like Buxton will return when the team begins a series at home Tuesday against the Yankees. Buxton will run again Tuesday to test his knee before the game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:39 pm

    • Hits walk-off homer Sunday
Nimmo (intercostal) entered Sunday's 4-3 win over Atlanta in the bottom of the seventh inning and hit a walk-off two-run home run in his lone at-bat.

Advice: Nimmo was held out of the starting nine due to right intercostal irritation, but he felt well enough to come off the bench and replace DJ Stewart as a pinch runner in the seventh inning. He then manned left field for the final two innings and recorded a pair of outs in the field before slugging a home run off AJ Minter in the bottom of the ninth. Nimmo said during the ESPN broadcast that he expects to play Monday against the Phillies, but fantasy managers will still want to ensure he's included in the lineup prior to the 7:10 p.m. ET opening pitch before activating him. • Allows four runs in loss
Sandoval (2-6) gave up four runs on 11 hits and struck out three without walking a batter over six innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Royals.

Advice: The Royals went with death by a thousand cuts against Sandoval -- just one of the 11 hits went for extra bases. All four runs were surrendered in the fourth inning, and the southpaw kept runners off base in just one of his six frames. This was the fifth time in nine starts Sandoval has given up at least four runs. He's at a poor 5.00 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 48:17 K:BB through 45 innings this season. Sandoval is projected to make his next start on the road against the Rangers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:56 pm
    • Goes yard
Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a solo homer during Sunday's 9-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Rutschman notched his sixth long ball of the campaign, tagging Zac Gallen for a solo home run in the sixth inning. After seeing his batting average jump from .254 to .277 last season, Rutschman has taken another step forward at the plate in 2024, slashing .304/.339/.453 with 23 RBI and 21 runs scored across 38 games. • Punches out 10
Kremer (3-3) took the loss Sunday against Arizona, allowing six runs (three earned) on four hits and four walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out 10.

Advice: Kremer notched double-digit strikeouts for the second time this season, tying his career high in the category. He fell off after retiring the first nine batters he faced, allowing at least two baserunners in each of the following innings before getting the yank in the sixth. He was pulled after allowing a two-run homer to Jake McCarthy and walking Kevin Newman consecutively. Despite having allowed nine homers in 46.0 innings this season, Kremer owns a solid 3.72 ERA and a 47:15 K:BB. Kremer's next start is scheduled to come Saturday against Seattle. • Brandon Nimmo sinks Braves with walk-off blast
Brandon Nimmo played the role of hero on Sunday night in New York, crushing a walk-off two-run homer off of A.J. Minter to deliver a 4-3 victory over the Braves.

Advice: The Mets entered the final frame trailing 3-2, but things got interesting after Jeff McNeil started it off with a bunt single. He was then sacrificed to second base by Tomas Nido. McNeil got an unbelievable jump on a 2-1 offering to Nimmo and looked to have third base stolen, but Nimmo fouled the pitch off and showed clear frustration with himself over the situation. Not to worry though, as two pitches later he pulverized a cutter from Minter for a 396-foot (103.7 mph EV) walk-off blast. Not bad for his only at-bat in the contest. On the season, he’s now hitting .234/.379/.431 with six long balls and 27 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:18 pm

    • Pete Alonso drives in two runs in win over Braves
Pete Alonso went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday night as the Mets rallied to beat the Braves.

Advice: Alonso got the Mets on the board with a run-scoring single off of Bryce Elder in the third inning. He then plated their other run with an RBI double off of Elder in the sixth inning that tied the game at 2-2. The 29-year-old slugger’s bat has started to pick up a bit, but he’s still hitting a disappointing .223/.305/.453 with nine homers, 22 RBI and one stolen base on the season. • Too wild Sunday
Harrison allowed three runs on three hits and five walks while striking out five over five innings in a no-decision versus the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Walks have become an issue for Harrison in May -- he's issued 12 of them over 17 innings across his last three starts while adding 14 strikeouts in that span. The Reds weren't fully able to capitalize Sunday, scraping together three runs in the first inning but leaving four runners on base over the next four frames before finding more luck against the Giants' bullpen. Harrison has allowed just four runs over his last 23 innings and now has a 3.42 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 45:17 K:BB through 50 innings across nine starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Rockies. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:10 pm
