    • Delivers extra-inning HR
Joe went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Joe spearheaded the Pirates' comeback effort, plating Oneil Cruz on a leadoff homer in the bottom of the 10th inning. However, his long ball wasn't enough, as Pittsburgh trailed by three entering the frame. Joe has gone yard in back-to-back games, bringing his season total up to five in 134 plate appearances. • Dominant in win
Lugo (6-1) allowed one run on five hits while striking out 12 and walking none over eight innings to earn the win over the Angels on Sunday.

Advice: Quality of opponent aside, Lugo was excellent Sunday. He landed 77 of his 112 pitches for strikes and recorded double-digit strikeouts for the first time this season. It was also his first start without issuing a walk. The right-hander is now at a 1.66 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 48:12 K:BB through 59.2 innings over nine starts. Lugo's had good moments both as a starter and a reliever in his career, but his start to 2024 is a completely new level for the 34-year-old. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Athletics. Rotowire.com Today, 7:45 pm

    • A.J. Minter suffers blown save on Sunday night
A.J. Minter suffered a blown save on Sunday night, serving up a walk-off two run homer to Brandon Nimmo in a loss to the Mets.

Advice: Minter — who was called upon with Raisel Iglesias unavailable — allowed Jeff McNeil to reach on a bunt single to start the inning. After a successful sacrifice by Tomas Nido, Nimmo clobbered the game-winning blast to spoil the Braves’ bid for a sweep. On the season, the 30-year-old southpaw holds a 3.78 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and a 20/4 K/BB ratio over 16 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Today, 7:14 pm

    • Brent Rooker goes deep as A’s fall to Mariners
Brent Rooker socked his 10th dinger of the season on Sunday as the Athletics fell to the Mariners in Seattle.

Advice: The 29-year-old outfielder clubbed a 411-foot (113.4 mph EV) two-run shot off of Cody Bolton in the eighth inning, pulling the A’s to within four runs at 8-4. He also singled in the ballgame, finishing the day 2-for-4. On the season, he’s hitting an impressive .292/.380/.632 with 10 homers, 27 RBI and a pair of stolen bases for good measure. • Seth Lugo strikes out 12 in victory over Angels
Seth Lugo delivered a dominant performance in Sunday’s victory over the Angels, racking up a career-high 12 strikeouts over eight innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The 34-year-old right-hander scattered just five hits on the afternoon and didn’t walk a single batter. The only blemish on his day came in the form of a run-scoring double off the bat of Willie Calhoun in the sixth inning, otherwise he was masterful. Lugo generated a whopping 17 swings and misses on 112 pitches in the ballgame — eight of those on his curveball — while registering an elite CSW of 38 percent. He has been unbelievable for the Royals this season, posting a 6-1 record, 1.66 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and a 48/12 K/BB ratio over 59 2/3 innings in his first nine starts. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling when he takes on the Athletics at home on Saturday. Rotoworld Today, 3:48 pm

    • Connor Joe has two hits, HR in loss to Cubs
Connor Joe went 2-for-4 with a home run and a double in a loss to the Cubs on Sunday.

Advice: Joe had a big 10th-inning home run off Adbert Alzolay that left the bat at 109.4 mpg and brought the Pirates to within one. He also had a 102 mph double earlier in the game and has been seeing the ball well. He also made five starts for the Pirates this week and has been starting to play more regularly, which would be huge for his fantasy value. If he can continue to draw semi-regular starts against right-handed pitchers, he can be scooped up in all 15-team formats. Rotoworld Today, 2:33 pm

    • Getting Sunday off
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Arenado will be out of the lineup for Sunday's game in Milwaukee, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: Arenado isn't dealing with an injury, as Marmol characterized the third baseman's absence from the lineup as an off day. The 33-year-old had started each of the Cardinals' first 39 games of the season and is maintaining a .703 OPS, the lowest mark of his career. He didn't appear to be turning a corner at the plate over the first three games of the series in Milwaukee, as he went just 1-for-12 with three strikeouts. Rotowire.com Today, 8:34 am

    • Nolan Arenado getting Sunday off vs. Brewers
Nolan Arenado is not starting Sunday’s game versus the Brewers.

Advice: Arenado will get his first day off of the year. The third baseman has registered a .767 OPS in the month of May and has hit .270/.331/.372 thus far in 2024. Rotoworld Today, 8:31 am

    • Sitting in series finale
Cabrera is out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale against Tampa Bay.

Advice: Cabrera went 0-for-2 in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Rays and is slashing just .200/.246/.262 over his last 20 games. He finds himself on the bench for the second time in three games and could be losing hold of his regular role at third base. Jon Berti will fill in for Cabrera once again Sunday.
