    • Looks mortal versus Phillies
Cease (3-2) took the loss against Philadelphia on Saturday, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five batters over six innings.

Advice: Prior to Saturday, Cease hadn't given up more than two earned runs in any of his five starts and had pitched to a 1.82 ERA. That number ballooned to 2.78 after the outing against Philadelphia, with Alec Bohm accounting for four RBI against the right-hander. Despite the hiccup, Cease has been the Padres' most effective starter this season, and he'll look to bounce back into form in his next appearance, which projects to come on the road in Arizona. • Dylan Cease walks three, allows five in loss
Dylan Cease gave up five runs in six innings of work while picking up a loss Saturday against the Phillies.

Advice: Cease was going to have to be at his best to match Ranger Suárez, and unfortunately he wasn’t close. The right-hander did whiff five, but he gave up six hits that included a two-run homer from Alec Bohm. In his first season with the Padres, Cease has posted a very solid 2.78 ERA despite this not-so-effective outing. A chance to lower that figure comes Friday in Arizona. • Aaron Judge homers as Yanks crush Brewers
Aaron Judge went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in a blowout win Saturday over the Brewers.

Advice: Judge shellacked a two-run blast in the sixth inning for his fifth homer of the season. The 32-year-old has not enjoyed the best start to the season with a .190/.328/.390 slash, but it’s impossible to be too concerned with those numbers based on Judge’s track record. • Permits one run over four frames
Parker took a no-decision in Saturday's win over the Marlins, permitting one run on six hits and two walks over four innings.

Advice: The Marlins made Parker work, particularly in the first inning when he gave up two singles, walked two and allowed a run on a wild pitch. He needed 82 pitches to cover his four frames, ultimately costing him what would have been an easy win. It was easily Parker's least impressive of his three starts so far in the majors, but he did still manage to give up just the one run. The lefty's next start is tentatively slated to come on the road versus the Rangers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:04 pm
    • Loads bases but nets save
Helsley struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to notch his ninth save of the season in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Mets.

Advice: Helsley made things interesting as he tried to protect a three-run advantage, loading the bases on two singles and a walk. However, with Francisco Lindor representing the go-ahead run he got the shortstop to pop out on the first pitch to end it. Helsley is 9-for-10 in save opportunities on the season and boasts a 1.80 ERA and 17:2 K:BB across 15 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:57 pm
    • Ryan Helsley notches ninth save against Mets
Ryan Helsley struck out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning to record the save against the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: Helsley was summoned to close out the game with a three-run lead in the ninth inning. He struck out the first batter, but allowed two singles and a walk to load the bases with two outs before getting Francisco Lindor to fly out to end the game. The 29-year-old right-hander is up to nine saves with a 1.80 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and a 17/2 K/BB ratio across 15 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:35 pm
    • Mitchell Parker gives up one over four vs. Marlins
Mitchell Parker allowed one run over four innings in a no-decision Saturday against the Marlins.

Advice: It’s disappointing that Parker wasn’t able to go deeper in this one, as the southpaw was given plenty of run support and would have easily qualified for the win. It was another effective outing for the 24-year-old, however, and he’s now registered an ERA of 1.69 since being promoted to the Washington rotation. He’ll face Texas on Thursday. • Oneil Cruz sits with injured ankle on Saturday
Oneil Cruz was held out of the Pirates’ starting lineup on Saturday due to an injured ankle.

Advice: The dynamic 25-year-old shortstop tweaked his ankle during Friday night’s game against the Giants and was given a night off on Saturday to rest it. For the time being, he’s considered day-to-day. Alika Williams will start in his place at shortstop and will bat ninth against Jordan Hicks and the Giants on Saturday evening in San Francisco. • Sitting with injured ankle
Cruz isn't in Pittsburgh's lineup Saturday against the Giants after tweaking his ankle during Friday's game, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Cruz hurt his ankle after sliding into third base during the ninth inning of Friday's game, and it is apparently bothering him enough to warrant a day off Saturday. While he recovers, Alika Williams will start at shortstop and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:23 pm
