    • Craig Kimbrel walks three in blowing save
Craig Kimbrel took his second blown save after walking three and giving up two hits in one-third of an inning versus the A’s on Friday.

Advice: Incredibly, he allowed just one run during all this. His lone out came on a play at home plate, and after he exited, Keegan Akin was able to strand the bases loaded and send the game to extras. Kimbrel somehow went his first nine outings without walking a batter, but he’s issued five free passes and hit a batter in his last three appearances. This is just his second blown save and his first to cost the Orioles a game, so he’ll surely keep closing for now. However, if the wildness continues. the Orioles could give him a break and turn to Yennier Cano in the ninth. Cano got four outs for his fifth hold tonight. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:33 pm
    • Charged with second blown save
Kimbrel blew the save in Friday's loss to the A's, allowing a run on two hits and three walks in one-third of an inning.

Advice: Kimbrel allowed all five batters he faced to reach base safely, with the lone out coming when JJ Bleday was thrown out at home trying to score on a wild pitch. While Kimbrel was lucky to escape with just one allowed, he was still charged with his second blown save of the year, the other coming in his first appearance of the season April 1. Kimbrel hadn't allowed an earned run in 10 innings coming into Friday, striking out 15 in that span. Overall, the 35-year-old is 7-for-9 in save chances with a 1.59 ERA and 1.06 WHIP through 11.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:13 pm
    • Locks down eighth save
Clase earned the save Thursday against the Red Sox, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: It's the fifth straight scoreless outing from Clase -- he's allowed just one hit while striking out eight in his last five innings. Overall, the right-hander is 8-for-10 in save chances this year with a stellar 0.69 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 14:1 K:BB over 13 innings. Rotowire.com Thursday, 1:50 pm
    • Clase locks down 8th save of the season
Emmanuel Clase threw a scoreless ninth inning in a 6-4 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Clase struck out one and didn’t allow a baserunner in his one inning of work. He now has eight saves and a 0.69 ERA on the season. Considering how well the Guardians have been playing but that their offense doesn’t usually blow opponents out, Clase should be in line for quite a few save opportunities this season. • Notches seventh save
Kimbrel picked up the save against the Angels on Wednesday, allowing one unearned run on one hit and one walk over one inning while striking out one.

Advice: Kimbrel surrendered a leadoff single to Ehire Adrianza to open the bottom of the ninth, who then advanced to third on a throwing error by Jorge Mateo. This would lead to a run coming home for Los Angeles in the frame on a groundout to make it a 6-5 game, though Kimbrel was able to retire two of the next three batters to nail down his seventh save of the season. The veteran reliever has now converted each of his last seven save attempts after blowing the save to open the campaign, but he's also allowed a hit and a walk in each of his last two appearances. • Another tough start
Crochet (1-4) took the loss Wednesday, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks over four innings against the Twins. He struck out six.

Advice: Crochet surrendered at least five runs for a third straight start, each of which lasted less than five innings and resulted in a loss for Crochet. After an impressive start to the season (four earned runs over 18 innings), Crochet has been equally unimpressive in his last three appearances, yielding 17 earned runs over 11.2 frames. Overall, Crochet owns a 6.37 ERA and 40:8 K:BB in six starts, and he's lined up for a rematch with the Twins early next week. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:31 pm

    • Garrett Crochet struggles again in loss Wednesday
Garrett Crochet allowed five runs with six strikeouts over four innings in a loss to the Twins on Wednesday.

Advice: After a scoreless first inning, Crochet got into trouble in the second. A walk, double, and base hit brought a run in for the Twins before Willi Castro took him deep for a three-run shot. Crochet completed two more innings before a leadoff double in the fifth would knock him out of the game. The inherited runner would eventually come in to score. The 24-year-old left-hander struck out six. He’s had a run of bad starts now, giving up at least five runs in each of his last three outings. Crochet will look to turn things around in a rematch against the Twins in Chicago on Monday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:24 pm

    • Craig Kimbrel gets save against Angels
Despite allowing an unearned run in the ninth, Craig Kimbrel picked up his seventh save Wednesday against the Orioles.

Advice: Kimbrel could have saved himself some trouble by handling Ehire Adrianza’s soft grounder to start the inning, but he missed it and second baseman Jorge Mateo threw wildly after picking up the ball, resulting in a single and a two-base error. Adrianza then came around to score on a groundout. Jo Adell walked with two outs, only to then end the game on a caught stealing. Replay suggested that he was safe at second, but the call stood after a lengthy challenge. Rotoworld Wednesday, 4:17 pm
    • Up to seven saves
Clase earned the save Tuesday against the Red Sox, striking out three in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Called upon to protect a three-run lead in the ninth, Clase made quick work of the middle of Boston's order, striking out the side en route to his seventh save this year. Clase's allowed just one hit in his last four innings while logging seven strikeouts in that span. He lowered his ERA to 0.75 with a 0.92 WHIP and 13:1 K:BB across 12 innings this season.
