      Angels transferred Anthony Rendon (hamstring) to the 60-day injured list.

      Advice: The 33-year-old veteran will miss an extended period of time after he suffered a hamstring injury a few weeks ago.       The Angels transferred Rendon (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Thursday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the newly acquired Luis Guillorme. Rendon suffered a high-grade partial tear of his left hamstring nearly three weeks ago and now won't be eligible to return until June 21.       Diaz went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Giants.

      Advice: Diaz drove in Colorado's third run of the game with an infield single in the bottom of the fifth and later added a two-run shot in the ninth to bring his team back within two runs of the Giants, though his effort would fall short. It marked the catcher's third multi-hit game already this month, and he's now hit safely in five of his last six contests.       Advice: Cruz provided the majority of Pittsburgh's offense by delivering a double with the bases loaded in the fifth inning. He's had a productive start to Pittsburgh's homestead, collecting six hits in 18 at-bats while also homering twice and driving in seven. Stanton has struck out 10 times in 20 at-bats over that stretch, so he's far from locked in at the plate, but three of his five hits during the streak have gone for extra bases.       Elias Díaz went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI against the Giants on Wednesday.

      Advice: Díaz brought a run in to score with a base hit in the fifth inning. With a runner on and two outs in the ninth, he brought the Rockies to within two with a home run off Camilo Doval.       Advice: Cease fell one K shy of his career high in strikeouts and allowed only four total baserunners -- an infield single, two walks and a hit-by-pitch -- en route to his fifth win of his last six starts. He's been making a case for the NL Cy Young in his first season with the Padres, earning a 2.19 ERA and a 0.75 WHIP with 60 strikeouts over 49.1 innings pitched.
