    • Cora: Red Sox hopeful O’Neill (knee) back Tuesday
Red Sox manager Alex Cora told reporters that Tyler O’Neill (knee) will miss Sunday’s game against the White Sox

Advice: Cora did say that he was hopeful that O’Neill will be able to play Tuesday against the Phillies. The outfielder was removed from Friday’s game against the White Sox with renewed knee discomfort, but it sounds like Boston is just taking precautions with O’Neill after he missed 10 games with his knee injury at the end of May/beginning of June. For now, consider him day-to-day. Rotoworld Sunday, 6:03 am

    • Out until at least Tuesday
Manager Alex Cora said Saturday that O'Neill (knee) will remain out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale with the White Sox, but the Red Sox remain hopeful to have him back in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener in Philadelphia following an off day Monday, the Associated Press reports. "If we can take advantage of the next three days and avoid the [injured list], that's what we're gonna do," Cora said.

Advice: After being on the IL previously with right knee inflammation, O'Neill was activated Wednesday. However, O'Neill made just three starts before he was removed in Friday's 7-2 loss to Chicago in the third inning after he had tweaked his knee while tracking down a flyball the inning prior. Though the Red Sox are seemingly optimistic that O'Neill will steer clear of another IL stint, he'll still need to demonstrate enough progress coming out of Monday's off day for that to become a reality. Bobby Dalbec started in right field in place of O'Neill in Saturday's 6-1 loss and could be the main beneficiary if O'Neill continues to miss more time beyond Sunday. • Pilfers two bags in loss
Duran went 0-for-3 with two walks and two stolen bases in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: The 27-year-old did his job as the leadoff man, but the hitters in the three spots behind him in the order went a combined 0-for-11 on the afternoon. Duran came into this series in Chicago having failed to steal a bag in 14 straight games, but he's swiped three in the last two contests to give him 14 on the season. He's also slashing .263/.331/.451 on the year with five homers, 27 RBI and 39 runs in 65 contests. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:06 pm

    • Continues to mash
Tatis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run in Friday's 10-3 win over Arizona.

Advice: Tatis set the tone for a big offensive game by the Padres with his first-inning solo homer. The long ball extended his hitting streak to 13 games, during which he has slashed .434/.474/.660 with three home runs, seven RBI, nine runs and a stolen base. Tatis leads San Diego with 11 homers on the campaign and has driven in 33 runs while slashing .282/.357/.458 and swiping seven bags overall. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:24 am
    • Steals bag, scores in loss
Duran went 0-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 7-2 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Duran stole home, his first steal in 15 games, and leads Boston with 12 thefts. He also leads the team with 39 runs. The outfielder has been hot to start the month of June, going 10-for-26 (.385) with one double, one triple, two home runs, four RBI and seven runs scored over the last six games. • Fernando Tatis Jr. goes deep in lopsided victory
Fernando Tatis Jr. crushed his 11th homer of the season on Friday in the Padres’ blowout win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Tatis delivered a tone-setting 415-foot solo shot off Arizona starter Brandon Pfaadt in the opening frame, which led to a 10-run, 14-hit explosion for San Diego’s struggling lineup. The 25-year-old fantasy superstar is batting .282 with 43 runs scored, 11 homers, 33 RBI and seven steals across 67 contests so far. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:31 am
    • Logs steal in win
Merrill went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: This was Merrill's first steal since May 14. Over the 20 contests between thefts, he hit a meager .224 (15-for-67) with no walks and just one extra-base hit. The 21-year-old still has a respectable .268/.303/.344 slash line with three home runs, 22 RBI, 24 runs scored and eight steals over 63 contests this year. Merrill has been benched against some left-handed pitchers recently, but he should have no trouble maintaining a majority of the playing time in center field over Jose Azocar. • Logs steal in three-hit game
Tatis went 3-for-5 with a double, one stolen base and one run scored in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Tatis has racked up nine hits over his last three games and is batting .449 (22-for-49) during his 12-game hitting streak. In addition to the hot bat, Tatis took advantage of getting on base Thursday by picking up his first steal since May 7. The outfielder is up to a .283/.356/.450 slash line with seven thefts, 10 home runs, 32 RBI and 41 runs scored through 66 contests this season, and he's been one of baseball's hottest hitters so far in June. • Sets tone in Thursday's win
Duran went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional RBI, one walk and two total runs scored in Thursday's 14-2 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Duran has multiple hits in four of his last five games, and he's gone yard in back-to-back contests. His homer Thursday came on Jake Woodford's second pitch of the game in the first inning, setting the tone for the Red Sox in their blowout win. Duran is up to five homers on the year, and he's added 27 RBI, 38 runs scored, 11 stolen bases and a .271/.336/.465 slash line over 286 plate appearances. While he continues to split time between left field and center field, there's no questioning Duran's place in the lineup this season. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:02 pm
