    • Resuming rehab assignment
Lowe (oblique/hamstring) will resume a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe had been set to return from his oblique strain last weekend but was delayed after experiencing right hamstring tightness in a game at Durham. However, the feeling is that it was just a minor setback and he has been cleared to return to game action. Lowe will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis at Durham to determine when he can rejoin the Rays' active roster. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

    • Josh Lowe to start second rehab assignment Thurs.
Rays sent Josh Lowe (hamstring) on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Thursday.

Advice: It’s been a frustrating process for the Rays and fantasy managers who have Lowe rostered. The 26-year-old outfielder was supposed to be activated from the injured list this past weekend, but hamstring tightness while rehabbing delayed his return. Lowe will rehab with Durham on Thursday and will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis. Overall, it’s not what managers want to hear but it’s better to have him 100% healthy than risk another injury that could be prevented while with Tampa Bay. Rotoworld 20 minutes ago

    • Takes seat Wednesday
Chourio is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Advice: The rookie will bow out of the lineup for the series finale while Jake Bauers picks up a start in left field alongside Blake Perkins and Sal Frelick. After opening his big-league career by producing hits in 11 of his first 13 games, Chourio has fallen into a massive slump since mid-April. Over his subsequent 14 games, Chourio has gone 6-for-43 (.140) while getting on base at a .196 clip. Rotowire.com Today, 8:51 am
    • Mason Miller strikes out side in earning save
Mason Miller struck out all three batters he faced Tuesday for a save against the Pirates.

Advice: It’s fine to marvel at Miller’s numbers in the closer’s role to date, but this is what an ace-level talent should be doing while pitching two or three innings per week. There’s a very good chance Miller would struggle to hold up as a starter, but we might never find out for sure. As is, Miller has a 1.35 ERA and eight saves in 13 1/3 innings. • Lights out for eighth save
Miller picked up the save Tuesday against Oakland, striking out three during a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Miller capped off April with yet another dominant display, punching out all three batters he faced. He appeared in 11 games during the month, allowing four hits and three walks with 30 strikeouts over 12.1 scoreless innings. He's a perfect eight-for-eight on save chances in 2024, placing him sixth in all of baseball for most saves. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:36 pm

    • Jarren Duran, has three hits, SB in win
Jarren Durran went 3-for-4 with a run, an RBI, and a steal in a 4-0 win over the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: All three of Duran’s hits were singles but each of them was at least 107 mph off the bat. In fact, he had three of the six hardest-hit balls of the game. His stolen base was also his ninth of the season and the lead-off hitter is slashing .268/.338/.386. The power has not been there this year, but if Duran keeps hitting the ball hard and getting on base then he’s going to rack up steals and continue to be useful in fantasy leagues. • Luis Garcia drives in lone run for Nats in loss
Luis Garcia went 1-for-3 with one RBI in the Nationals’ loss to the Rangers on Tuesday.

Advice: Garcia got the scoring started for the Nationals in the top of the first when he singled home C.J. Abrams after Abrams led things off with a single and a steal. Unfortunately, that would be all the offense the Nationals could muster, as they were held to just one hit the rest of the way in the 7-1 defeat. Garcia ends the first month of the season batting .294 with one homer and 11 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:39 pm
    • Reaches base four times
Duran went 3-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Giants.

Advice: Duran led of the fourth inning with a single and stole his ninth base of the season before trotting home on Wilyer Abreu's triple. Duran has scuffled of late and entered the game batting .150 (6-for-40) over the previous nine contests. His nine thefts lead the Red Sox and are tied for sixth in MLB. • Resting Tuesday
Cruz isn't in the Pirates' lineup Tuesday against the Athletics, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Advice: Cruz is slashing .094/.121/.094 against left-handed pitchers this season, so he will get a day off with Alex Wood set to take the mound for Oakland. Alika Williams will take his place at shortstop while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:29 pm
