    • Rhys Hoskins swats go-ahead homer vs. Cardinals
Rhys Hoskins connected for a go-ahead three-run homer on Saturday, lifting the Brewers to a 5-3 comeback win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Hoskins lifted a 407-foot shot to right-center field — his ninth big fly of the season — off Cardinals veteran reliever Andrew Kittredge in the seventh inning to put Milwaukee ahead for good in a low-scoring showdown. The 31-year-old slugger has started to really heat up recently, going deep three times over his last four games. Rotoworld Today, 3:34 am

    • Pops homer in win
Hoskins went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Hoskins' blast came in the seventh inning off reliever Andrew Kittredge, and it put the Brewers ahead for good. Over the last four games, Hoskins is 5-for-15 with three homers and eight RBI. The first baseman's surge has him up to nine long balls, 26 RBI, 17 runs scored, a stolen base and a .233/.338/.481 slash line through 36 contests overall. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:15 pm

    • Fires seven hitless frames
Fried (3-1) earned the win over the Mets on Saturday, allowing three walks while striking out five batters over seven scoreless and hitless innings.

Advice: Fried threw 109 pitches during his seven frames, so manager Brian Snitker didn't allow him to push any further for an individual no-hitter. Atlanta's bullpen carried the no-no into the ninth inning before J.D. Martinez ended the combined bid with a two-out solo homer off Raisel Iglesias. Though he didn't etch his name in the record books, Fried bounced back very nicely after giving up four runs over seven frames and picking up his first loss in his previous outing. He's now notched four quality starts on the campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:28 pm

    • Injury believed to be minor
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Saturday that he's "not too concerned" about Nimmo's (intercostal) injury, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: Nimmo tweaked his right intercostal on a checked swing Saturday against Atlanta and eventually exited the game. However, Mendoza said of the injury that "I think we caught it early," and there are no plans to send the outfielder for an MRI. Nimmo will be re-evaluated Sunday but is considered day-to-day for the time being. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:15 pm

    • Max Fried no-hits Mets over seven innings in win
Max Fried went seven no-hit innings to help Atlanta to a 4-1 win over the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: For the second time in three starts, Fried has not allowed a hit. Unfortunately, his pitch count has prevented him from being able to complete the no-no in both, and he was done Saturday after throwing 109 pitches. The Mets wouldn’t pick up a hit until a solo homer off Raisel Iglesias by J.D. Martinez in the ninth. Still, the left-hander was once again awfully impressive, and he struck out five against three walks without really being challenged throughout the outing. Fried will take a 3.57 ERA into his next scheduled start, which is penciled in for Friday against San Diego. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:57 pm

    • Exits with intercostal irritation
Nimmo left Saturday's game against Atlanta with right intercostal irritation, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Nimmo went 0-for-1 with a walk before exiting after the fourth inning. He suffered the injury on a checked swing and may undergo further tests after the game. Tyrone Taylor replaced Nimmo in left field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:36 pm

    • Brandon Nimmo dealing with intercostal irritation
The Mets announced that Brandon Nimmo was pulled from Saturday’s ballgame against the Braves due to right intercostal irritation.

Advice: Nimmo sustained the injury on an uncomfortable looking swing. While a lot will depend on how he wakes up feeling on Sunday, there’s a decent chance that he’ll be heading to the injured list. Be sure to check back on his status prior to Sunday’s game. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:32 pm

    • Brandon Nimmo leaves game with apparent injury
Brandon Nimmo was removed from Saturday’s contest against the Braves due to an apparent injury.

Advice: Nimmo appeared to tweak something in his side on a check swing, then had a couple of very awkward swings afterwards before leaving the game. He’ll likely head for further evaluation. Expect the Mets to provide an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:24 pm

    • Homers in loss
Seager went 2-for-3 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Friday's 4-2 loss the Rockies.

Advice: Seager launched a solo home run to lead off the sixth inning then walked with the bases loaded an inning later. He struggled through the first five weeks of the season -- perhaps attributable to missing much of spring training after undergoing hernia surgery in January -- and his batting average was .219 as of May 2. Since then, Seager has hit safely in six of seven games, going 9-for-28 (.321) with two home runs and seven RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:37 am
