    • Next start coming Tuesday
Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Taillon (back) will start Tuesday's game in Atlanta, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: A bout with back stiffness resulted in Taillon being scratched from his scheduled start Friday in Pittsburgh, but the right-hander responded well enough from a bullpen session Saturday for the Cubs to clear him to take the hill in Atlanta. With Kyle Hendricks (back) coming off the 15-day injured list to start Sunday in Pittsburgh, Taillon will end up taking over the spot in the rotation that had previously belonged to Hayden Wesneski, who has been moved to the bullpen. • Jameson Taillon (back) starting Tuesday vs. ATL
Jameson Taillon (back) will start Tuesday against Atlanta.

Advice: Taillon will be moved back to Tuesday while he deals with his back issue. The right-hander is moved back with Kyle Hendricks also returning off the injured list from his back injury. Rotoworld Today, 8:44 am
    • Jarren Duran hitting eighth against southpaw
Jarren Duran is hitting eighth and playing left field Sunday against the Nationals.

Advice: Duran normally hits leadoff for the Red Sox, and while he has gotten on at a .402 clip against southpaws in 2024, he’s picked up just one extra-base hit and slugged .302 against pitchers from that side. He’ll move down in the order with Romy Gonzalez hitting leadoff and handling shortstop duties. Rotoworld Today, 7:29 am

    • Red Sox reinstate Brayan Bello (lat) off of IL
Red Sox reinstated RHP Brayan Bello off the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Bello has been out since the end of April due to right lat tightness. The right-hander will rejoin the rotation, but it’s worth pointing out he threw just 52 pitches in his last rehab start. He’ll get the ball Sunday against the Nationals, but fantasy managers should proceed with some caution for this outing. Rotoworld Today, 7:16 am

    • Activated ahead of start
The Red Sox reinstated Bello (lat) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start Sunday against the Nationals.

Advice: Bello landed on the IL on April 24 due to right lat tightness, which he experienced coming out of his start April 19 versus the Pirates. He was able to get the green light to rejoin the big-league rotation after making one rehab start with Double-A Portland on Tuesday, when he allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out five over 2.2 innings. Bello holds a 3-1 record over five starts with a 3.04 ERA and 1.05 WHIP over 26.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Today, 7:11 am

    • Josh Naylor belts 11th homer Saturday in loss
Josh Naylor clobbered his 11th round-tripper of the season on Saturday in the Guardians’ 3-1 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Naylor’s fourth-inning solo shot off White Sox starter Michael Clevinger represented Cleveland’s lone tally in a low-scoring tractor pull at Guaranteed Rate Field. The 26-year-old emerging fantasy force is already on the verge of eclipsing the 20-homer mark for the first time in his career and seems primed to establish new career-high marks across the board this season. • Stays hot
Cruz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored Saturday against the Cubs.

Advice: Cruz got off to a slow start to the season, though he's managed multiple hits in four of his last five starts. He's hit .500 in that span with two home runs while collecting six RBI and five runs scored. Importantly, Cruz has greatly cut down on his strikeout rate, as he's punched out multiple times in a game only three times in his last 17 starts and struck out at a respectable 23.8 percent clip in that span. • Continues power surge
Naylor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Saturday in a loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Naylor produced Cleveland's only run of the contest with a fourth-inning solo blast to left field. The first baseman has gone deep four times over his past seven games to push his season total to 11 long balls, tied for fourth most in the majors. Naylor is also tied for seventh in the league with 30 RBI while slashing .275/.358/.565 and registering an impressive 16:20 BB:K. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:21 pm

    • Improves to 5-0
Skubal (5-0) earned the win over Houston on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over 6.1 innings.

Advice: Skubal continued his run of excellence, recording his fifth straight quality start and picking up his fifth win without a loss on the season. The left-hander has built upon last year's breakout campaign to emerge as one of MLB's top hurlers and Detroit's undeniable staff ace. Skubal ranks seventh among qualified starters with a 2.02 ERA and fourth with a 0.86 WHIP. He's tied for fourth with 60 punchouts over 49 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:02 pm
