    • Timely hit in Tuesday's win
Machado went 1-for-5 with a three-run double in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Reds.

Advice: Machado stepped up to the plate in the fifth with the bases juiced and cleared them all with a double to center field. That was his first extra-base hit since April 14 and his first multi-RBI game since April 12. He's tallied a hit in four of his five games since being reinstated from the paternity list and is now slashing .250/.304/.388 with four homers, 16 RBI, 16 runs and a 9:29 BB:K in 125 plate appearances. • Steal, two RBI in loss
India went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Padres.

Advice: India delivered a two-run single in the sixth inning then put himself in scoring position with his third steal of the season. He took a turn at cleanup -- his first time this season -- as the Reds continue to work around the absence of primary cleanup hitter Christian Encarnacion-Strand (hand). India is 9-for-23 (.391) over six games since returning from an illness that cost him four days. Rotowire.com Today, 4:29 am
    • Stuck with loss Tuesday
Lopez (2-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Mariners, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings.

Advice: Lopez struck out the side to begin his night en route to tying his season-high in strikeouts. He pitched well overall, but there was not much he could do with Atlanta not scoring until the eighth inning. His one costly mistake came in the third after allowing a two-run blast to Jorge Polanco and the Mariners would tack on a third run in the fourth, which proved to be the deciding run in the game. Tuesday was the first time Lopez had failed to pitch at least six innings and surrender more than a run. He's now given up a home run in back-to-back outings. Still, the 30-year-old has been nothing short of spectacular through the first month, posting a 1.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB in 30 innings. He currently lines up for a meeting with the Red Sox early next week. Rotowire.com Today, 3:37 am
    • Reynaldo López allows three over five in loss
Reynaldo López allowed three runs in five innings while picking up a loss Tuesday to the Mariners.

Advice: López allowed six hits over those five frames, and he struck out seven while walking three with Josh Rojas getting all three free passes. The 30-year-old pitched better than his line suggested, but a two-run homer by Jorge Polanco turned an excellent outing into a shaky one from a fantasy perspective. Lopez still has an excellent 1.50 ERA, and he should be in fantasy lineups against Boston next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:47 pm
    • Tommy Pham doubles in two-hit game vs. Twins
Tommy Pham went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday’s loss to the Twins.

Advice: Pham continued his hot start with the White Sox on Tuesday and has now hit safely in four of his first five games. His RBI single in the fourth gave him his first RBI on the season and put the White Sox up 2-0, and he later came around to score in the third inning after hitting his first double of the year. Pham is now batting.350 on the year, but is stuck in a lineup that offers little to no run production. He can’t be relied on for much at this time as far as fantasy is concerned.

    • Placed on injured list
The Angels placed Trout on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a torn meniscus in his left knee.

Advice: Trout was diagnosed with a torn meniscus Tuesday and will require surgery, so a move to the IL was expected. It's worth noting the 32-year-old superstar was placed on the 10-day IL rather than the 60-day list, which may indicate the Angels expect Trout to bounce back from his procedure relatively quickly. • Mike Trout hits IL with left knee meniscus tear
Angels placed OF Mike Trout on the 10-day injured list with a left knee meniscus tear.

Advice: Trout is slated to undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. There isn’t a definitive timetable for his return yet, but the expectation is that he’ll return at some point later this season. It’s obviously a colossal loss for the Angels, and fantasy managers. The 32-year-old generational superstar was in the midst of an impressive renaissance campaign, posting a strong .867 OPS with a major league-leading 10 homers and six steals through 29 games. There should be some clarity on his potential return timeline at some point following the knee procedure. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:30 pm

    • Mike Trout to undergo left knee surgery
Mike Trout will undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan and Alden González.

Advice: It’s a devastating development for the Angels, and fantasy managers, as Trout was in the midst of a remarkable renaissance campaign this season with a robust .867 OPS to accompany a major league-leading 10 home runs and six steals through 29 games. Passan and González add that the procedure isn’t expected to be season-ending. However, it appears likely that Trout is going to require an extended absence. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:21 pm

    • Dealing with torn meniscus
Trout was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his left knee Tuesday and will require surgery, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Trout had started all 29 games for the Angels through the first month of the season, but he'll now be sidelined for the foreseeable future due to the meniscus tear. The 32-year-old doesn't have an official timeline for his return but isn't expected to be in danger of missing the rest of the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:19 pm
