      Brenton Doyle went 2-for-4 with a homer and a steal versus the White Sox on Friday.

      Advice: Doyle came into the night batting .235/.258/.284 in June and was one more bad game away seeing his OPS drop below .700, so this helps a bunch. He still shouldn’t be batting at the top of the Rockies order right now, but for as long it continues, he’ll be worth playing in mixed leagues, especially when the Rockies are at home.     • Logan Gilbert fires six strong in no-decision
      Logan Gilbert gave up two runs in six innings while not factoring into the decision against the Twins on Friday.

      Advice: Gilbert struck out three while allowing just four hits and no walks. The right-hander saw his streak of 21 scoreless innings come to an end when Carlos Correa socked a two-run homer off the right-hander to give Minnesota a 2-1 lead. Outside of that, it was another outstanding effort for the right-hander, and concludes a June that likely will see him win AL Pitcher of the Month.     • Cracks homer, swipes bag in loss
      Doyle went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a steal in Friday's 5-3 loss to the White Sox.

      Advice: The 26-year-old gave Colorado a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning when he launched a 426-foot, two-run homer off Drew Thorpe. Doyle later bagged his team-leading 19th stolen base, marking his fifth straight success since last being caught June 5. Perhaps this performance will spur a hot streak for Doyle , as he entered the game hitting .235 (19-for-81) with just two extra-base hits -- one homer and one double -- across 22 games in June.     • Jackson Chourio hits grand slam to lead Brewers
      Jackson Chourio hit his first career grand slam Friday to provide all of the scoring as the Brewers beat the Cubs 4-2.

      Advice: This one was pretty legit; the homer was projected at 377 feet and would have been out of 21 of the 30 ballparks. He still has just one no-doubter this year; he hit a Martín Pérez changeup 441 feet on May 15. Apart from that, his next farthest blast was 402 feet.       Chourio went 2-for-3 with a grand slam in Friday's win over the Cubs.

      Advice: Chourio's grand slam in the fourth inning gave the Brewers the lead and proved to be the only offense the team could produce all night. He's homered in back-to-back games, though his home run Wednesday against Texas was inside-the-park. He's knocked nine homers with 33 RBI and a .676 OPS through 72 games this season.       Morton (5-4) earned the win Friday against Pittsburgh, throwing 6.1 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts. He allowed three hits and one walk.

      Advice: The 40-year-old looked sharp over a 104-pitch outing, generating 15 whiffs -- including seven on his curveball alone -- to collect seven punchouts. Morton wrapped a successful June, firing a 3.10 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 28:13 K:BB across 29 innings. The Atlanta right-hander is slated to face the Giants at home in his next start.       Charlie Morton held the Pirates scoreless through 6 1/3 innings on Friday in a 6-1 win. He struck out seven and walked one.

      Advice: Morton made his old team pay on Friday night as he dropped curveball after curveball on Pittsburgh’s lineup. This was also the first time Morton walked one or fewer since May 10th against the Mets (pre-Grimace) as he flashed especially good command with his sparsely thrown cutter.       Sanchez (6-3) earned the win against the Marlins on Friday, allowing three hits and no walks over nine scoreless innings while striking out nine.

      Advice: Sanchez was dominant, allowing only singles and generating 16 swinging strikes on 101 pitches in his first career complete-game shutout. Since June 17, the southpaw has won three straight contests and surrendered just one earned run over 23 innings with an 18:1 K:BB.
