      Advice: Hoerner blasted his third home run of the season in the third inning with a runner on and also stole his 14th base of the year The infielder is not known as a big power threat, as his career best in homers for a season is only 10, but he is a capable baserunner.       Nico Hoerner went 3-for-5 with a homer and a stolen base for the Cubs in an extra-inning win over the Giants on Thursday.

      Advice: Hoerner swatted a two-run blast off Jordan Hicks in the third inning to give the Cubs a 2-0 lead. That’s only the third homer of the season for the 27-year-old, but the steal was already the 14th of the year.       Colt Keith went 4-for-5 with a home run, double, three RBI and three runs scored in a, 11-2 win over the White Sox on Sunday.

      Advice: The Tigers, led by Keith, teed off against the White Sox. Eight of their nine starters had a hit and they had nine runs by the end of the second inning.
