      Jacob Young went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, a run scored and a stolen base as the Nationals fell to the Rays on Friday evening in Tampa Bay.

      Advice: Young basically created a run with his legs in the seventh inning, smacking a two-out double, stealing third base and then trotting home as catcher overthrew the third baseman trying to cut him down. That would be the only run that the Nationals would muster in the ballgame. With his two-hit effort, Young is now hitting .272/.329/.341 with one homer, 18 RBI and 19 swipes on the season.       Soto went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run and two walks in Tuesday's loss to the Mets.

      Advice: Soto plated the Yankees' first run with his solo shot in the fifth inning, though the Mets had already built a big lead by that time. The long ball was the first extra-base hit over the outfielder's past eight games, and he's batted an uncharacteristically poor .160 (4-for-25) during that stretch. Soto has continued to reach base consistently, however, due to his willingness to take a walk -- across the eight-game span, he's accumulated an 11:6 BB:K, and he leads the league with 65 total walks on the season.       Advice: Duran figured prominently in the come-from-behind win, in which Boston scored five times in the final two innings. Thanks to a miscommunication by Toronto's left side of the infield, his eighth-inning popup fell to the ground for a double followed by David Hamilton's two-run home run. His fourth-inning double plated Texas' first run and he came home on Leody Taveras' two-run single.
