    • Strikes out seven in win
Crawford (4-7) earned the win against the Marlins on Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and no walks with seven strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Crawford allowed a solo home run to Jake Burger in the fifth inning but was otherwise fantastic, registering a whopping 16 swinging strikes on just 72 pitches. He only threw 23 pitches June 26 as the game was suspended for weather but has now logged quality starts in his past four official contests. On the season, the 28-year-old owns a 3.47 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 102:28 K:BB over 98.2 innings and lines up for a road matchup with the Yankees this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:16 pm
    • Homers in win
Freeman went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in a 7-6 win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: Freeman singled and scored in the fifth inning and added a two-run home run in the sixth. The 25-year-old slashed a miserable .167/.268/.264 in June but got off on the right foot in July with his first home run since June 9. On the season, he is slashing .211/.306/.343 with seven home runs, 30 RBI, 41 runs scored and eight steals over 291 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 8:10 pm

    • Strikes out eight in win
Gibson (6-3) earned the win against the Pirates on Tuesday, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over five innings.

Advice: Gibson was cruising early, striking out the side in each of the second and fourth innings, but he allowed four runs on two homers in the fifth. He bounced back with his control after walking five batters June 26 but was pulled after a season-low 79 pitches and has surrendered four earned runs in back-to-back outings. On the season, the veteran owns a 3.88 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 85:37 K:BB over 92.2 innings and lines up for a road matchup against the Nationals this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:07 pm
    • Hits grand slam in win
Gorman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in a 7-4 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Gorman hit a grand slam in the fourth inning and added a single in the sixth. He was mired in a 2-for-29 slump but opened July with his first home run since June 19 and first multi-hit effort since June 4. On the season, the second baseman owns a disappointing .192 average but is currently tied with Ketel Marte for tops at the position with 17 home runs. Rotowire.com Today, 8:05 pm

    • Eovaldi allows one hit in win over Padres
Nathan Eovaldi allowed one hit over seven innings while striking out six to earn the win on Tuesday against the Padres.

Advice: Eovaldi was aided by a two-homer night by Nathaniel Lowe, but the veteran righty didn’t need much help. Eovaldi allowed just one baserunner on the night, which came on a Bryce Johnson single in the top of the third inning. Eovaldi lowered his season ERA to 3.15 in this one and bounced back nicely after allowing five earned runs in his previous outing. Eovaldi is scheduled to make his next start on Sunday against the Rays, where he’ll look to pick up his sixth win. Rotoworld Today, 7:36 pm
    • Cease allows six earned, two homers vs. Rangers
Dylan Cease allowed eight hits and six earned runs over 3 2/3 innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Cease had an up-and-down first inning. While he recorded all three of his outs via the strikeout, he allowed two hits, with the second coming on a two-run homer by Nathaniel Lowe to give the Rangers an early lead. It would only get worse from there, as Cease would give up another two-run bomb to Lowe in the third inning and was pulled in the fourth inning shortly after allowing a sixth run off a Marcus Semien single. It’s been a rough stretch for Cease, who has allowed 17 earned runs over his last 19 innings while striking out 29 batters and walking nine. Cease will look to bounce back in his next outing, which is set for Sunday against the Diamondbacks. Rotoworld Today, 7:32 pm
    • Austin Riley homers again in loss to Giants
Austin Riley went 1-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s loss to the Giants.

Advice: Riley got the scoring started for the Braves in the second inning when he took Hayden Birdsong 415 feet to left for a solo homer. The home run was Riley’s 10th blast of the season and his third in his last 10 games. The veteran third baseman has gotten off to a slow start this season after three straight 30-plus homer seasons but has now hit safely in six of his last eight games. Rotoworld Today, 7:24 pm
    • Gorman homers, drives in four in win
Nolan Gorman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Gorman’s home run was a 415-foot shot for his 17th of the season to go along with 41 RBIs. However, he also struck out twice and came into today with a 36.5 percent strikeout rate. In his last 35 games, Gorman is hitting just .177/.241/.411 with a 36.5 percent strikeout rate. However, he also has 10 home runs and five steals over that span, so if you are not in a batting average league or are punting the category, you can likely still roster Gorman. • Gibson gets a win in an uneven performance
Kyle Gibson allowed four runs on five hits in five innings in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: The veteran had pitched four shutout innings before allowing four runs and two home runs in the fifth inning, which would wind up being his last. Gibson also struck out eight and walked just one on the day. Gibson’s newfound strikeout ability is due to his reliance on his sweeper, which has become his most-used pitch. That offering got eight whiffs on 14 swings today and Gibson posted a 34 percent whiff rate and 37 percent CSW overall. The improved swing and miss in his game is for real, but he’s still vulnerable to giving up hard contact; however, he makes a decent streaming option against the Nationals this weekend.
