    • Up to second in order
Doyle went 2-for-5 Friday against the Pirates.

Advice: Doyle has been productive across his last eight games, collecting nine hits across 32 at-bats while scoring five runs, driving in five and stealing four bases. He's also hit second in Colorado's lineup in four of the team's last six contests, and he stayed in that position even with Nolan Jones back in the lineup Friday. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago

    • Slugs 15th homer
Santander went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings loss to the Phillies.

Advice: His eighth-inning shot off Matt Strahm sent the game to extras, but Baltimore came up short in the end. Santander has been on a tear in June, slashing .273/.333/.636 with six of his 15 homers on the season in 14 games on the month. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago

    • Quality start against O's
Suarez came away with a no-decision in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings win over the Orioles, allowing one run on six hits and two walks over 6.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The southpaw delivered his ninth quality start of the season on 88 pitches (57 strikes), but Suarez was denied his 11th win in a wild affair that saw half the game's runs cross the plate after the ninth inning. Since his nine-start win streak ended in late May, the 28-year-old has posted a 3.10 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB through 20.1 innings over four outings. Suarez's next scheduled trip to the mound is a home tilt next week against the Padres. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago
    • Alexis Díaz allows four to reach in earning save
Alexis Díaz recorded his 15th save despite allowing two runs — one earned — in the ninth Friday versus the Brewers.

Advice: Díaz survived yet again after allowing three hits and walking a batter in a sloppy ninth inning. He’ll probably be available Saturday, but if not, the save chance could go to Lucas Sims or Fernando Cruz. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:24 pm

    • Escapes with save
Diaz allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk Friday while earning a save over Milwaukee.

Advice: Diaz was tasked with holding the 6-3 lead in the ninth inning Friday and ran into some trouble. He walked in a run after an error loaded the bases and allowed what would've been the game-tying hit if not for Will Benson throwing out Jake Bauers at home. Diaz has converted eight straight saves and 15 of his 17 chances this season. Despite his relative success in those situations, his ERA is up to 5.47 with a lackluster 27:19 K:BB through 26.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:14 pm

    • Anthony Santander smashes game-tying homer
Anthony Santander went 2-for-5 with a solo home run against the Phillies on Friday.

Advice: Santander’s eighth inning home run was the first Matt Strahm has allowed all season and just the first run he’s allowed at all since opening day. Then Santander put one to the warning track in the 10th inning which nearly won the game for Baltimore. Also, his first inning single was smoked 114.4 MPH - the hardest he’s ever hit a ball in his career. That’s a great sign for the power hitting switch-hitter moving forward. • Ranger Suárez allows just one run against Orioles
Ranger Suárez scattered six hits across 6 2/3 innings in a no-decision on Friday against the Orioles. He struck out six, walked two, and allowed one earned run.

Advice: Relative to the rest of his season, this was a difficult start for Suárez and he still allowed just one run against one of the best offenses in baseball. He kept the ball down, mixed all five of his pitches, and hit his spots when he needed to. Especially tough on lefties, he made Gunnar Henderson look as frustrated as he’s been all season with two nasty punch outs. Suárez’s Cy Young campaign will march on next week against the Padres. • Scratched Friday
Cruz was scratched from the Pirates' lineup ahead of Friday's game versus Colorado due to left ankle soreness, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Advice: Cruz was initially slated to start at shortstop during Friday's series opener, but it will instead be Jared Triolo making his first career start at short while Cruz takes a day to recover from a tweaked ankle he suffered during Thursday's contest. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:12 pm

    • Oneil Cruz (ankle) scratched from lineup on Friday
Oneil Cruz was scratched from the Pirates’ starting lineup on Friday night due to a sore ankle.

Advice: Cruz tweaked his ankle again while running the bases during Thursday’s game and just wasn’t quite ready to give it a go on Friday night. He’s considered day-to-day. Jared Triolo will start in his place at shortstop and bat eighth for the Pirates at Coors Field on Friday evening. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:08 pm
