    • Alexis Díaz gives up run, earns 13th save
Alexis Díaz recorded his 13th save despite giving up a run in the ninth Friday against the Cubs.

Advice: After getting two well-hit lineouts to start the ninth, Díaz walked a batter and allowed an RBI double. He then struck out Patrick Wisdom to end the game with a 3-2 score. Díaz has made 26 appearances this season and turned in a perfect inning three times. Still, as shaky as he’s been, he’s 13-for-15 saving games. Rotoworld Today, 6:43 pm

    • Notches 19th save
Clase walked one and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his 19th save of the season in an 8-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: It didn't look like Clase would even get a save chance when the Guardians fell behind 5-0 early, but the right-hander had little trouble securing the comeback victory. Clase is tied for the league lead in saves with the Cardinals' Ryan Helsley, and the Cleveland closer hasn't given up an earned run since April 14 en route to a sparkling 0.30 ERA and 0.63 WHIP through 30.1 innings with a 31:3 K:BB. • Clase notches 19th save in win over Royals
Emmanuel Clase threw a scoreless ninth inning to close out an 8-5 win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Clase struck out two and walked one en route to his 19th save of the season. The right-hander has a minuscule 0.30 ERA and has been the best closer in fantasy baseball this season, earning tons of draft-day value for whoever took him in their leagues. • Perfect in sixth hold
Garrett struck out the side in a perfect seventh inning Sunday to record his sixth hold of the season in a loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: With the Mets holding a 4-3 lead, the right-hander was called in to the face the heart of Arizona's order and fanned Lourdes Gurriel, Christian Walker and Jake McCarthy on 11 pitches (nine strikes). Garrett has had some stumbles of late, getting tagged for earned runs in four of his last nine appearances with a 9.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP over that stretch, but he's still part of the high-leverage mix and a candidate for saves in the absence of Edwin Diaz (shoulder). • Secures save Sunday
Diaz walked one batter and struck out another in a scoreless inning Sunday. He earned a save over the Cubs.

Advice: Diaz worked around a leadoff walk to finish off the 5-2 victory. He's struggled at times throughout the year but appears to be turning a corner; Diaz has allowed one run over his last 5.2 innings while converting five straight save opportunities. The 27-year-old righty has 12 saves with a 23:16 K:BB and 5.64 ERA through 22.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:08 am

    • Alexis Díaz earns 12th save in win over Cubs
Alexis Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth inning to secure a 5-2 win over the Cubs on Sunday.

Advice: Díaz walked one and struck out on and was never really in any jeopardy. Of course, it’s been a struggle for him this season, and the command issues are a big reason why. He now has a 5.64 ERA on the season but has a decent amount of job security with nobody to really threaten him in the bullpen. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:31 pm

    • Strikes out 10 in loss
Manaea (3-2) took the loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday, allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits and two walks with 10 strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Manaea tossed two scoreless frames before Christian Walker hit a grand slam in the third inning, and Manaea would go on to surrender two more runs before exiting with two outs in the sixth. The 10 strikeouts were a season high for the lefty, and it was the first outing in which he allowed more than three earned runs since April 13. Through 11 starts, Manaea has posted a 3.63 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 57:24 K:BB and tentatively lines up to face the Phillies next weekend in the London Series. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:31 pm

    • Converts 18th save
Clase earned a save against the Nationals on Saturday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Advice: Tasked with preserving a 3-2 lead in the ninth inning, Clase needed only eight pitches to secure his 18th save of the season. The save tied him with Ryan Helsley of the Cardinals for the league lead, and he now boasts a ridiculous 0.31 ERA, 0.61 WHIP and 29:2 K:BB over 29.1 innings. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:26 pm

    • Sean Manaea surrenders six runs in loss
Sean Manaea surrendered six runs -- five earned -- with ten strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: After two scoreless frames, Manaea loaded the bases with a base hit and two walks in the third. Christian Walker would clear them all with a grand slam to put the Diamondbacks ahead. A double and a base hit in the sixth would drive in a run and knock Manaea from the game with two outs at 105 pitches. He struck out a season-high ten batters. The 32-year-old left-hander will take a 3.63 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 57/24 K/BB ratio across 57 innings into a start against the Phillies in New York next Saturday. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:26 pm
