• Swats another homer
Chapman went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and an additional run during Wednesday's 9-5 extra-inning win over the Pirates.

Advice: The 31-year-old tagged Jared Jones for a two-run home run in the sixth inning, Chapman's second straight game with a long ball. He's been red hot in his last five games, going 11-for-18 (.611) with seven extra-base hits, 10 runs, five RBI and two stolen bases. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:25 pm
  • Goes yard in loss
Pham went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 9-2 loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Pham got the White Sox on the board when he took Toronto reliever Genesis Cabrera deep in the eighth inning. This was Pham's fifth multi-hit effort over the last nine games, a span in which he's gone 13-for-37 (.351) with four extra-base hits, three RBI and two stolen bases. The veteran outfielder is slashing .316/.356/.474 with three homers, 11 RBI, 13 runs scored and three steals across 101 plate appearances. He's found ample success as the leadoff hitter since signing a minor-league deal with the White Sox in mid-April and rising to the majors April 26. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:08 pm

  • Tommy Pham blasts third homer vs. Blue Jays
Tommy Pham went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Wednesday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Pham had a base hit in the third inning, but the White Sox were held without a run until the eighth. He started the frame with a solo blast off Génesis Cabrera. The 36-year-old outfielder is up to three homers and three steals while slashing .316/.356/.474 across 101 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:14 pm

  • Hitting bench Wednesday
Mountcastle is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After playing the final three innings of Tuesday's suspended game earlier Wednesday and finishing 1-for-3 in Baltimore's 3-1 loss, Mountcastle will get a breather for the regularly scheduled game. Ryan O'Hearn will step in for Mountcastle at first base. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:31 am
  • Ryan Mountcastle takes a seat Wednesday
Ryan Mountcastle is out of the Orioles’ lineup Wednesday for the third time in five days.

Advice: The Orioles are DHing Adley Rutschman today, taking away Mountcastle’s spot. Mountcastle is in a 1-for-24 slump that’s dropped his OPS from .842 to .733. He’d be playing through it on practically any other team, but the stacked Orioles are treating him like a role player. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:21 am
  • Lifts homer in loss
Chapman went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a double in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Chapman has gone 16-for-43 (.372) with eight extra-base hits and eight RBI over his last 11 games. The third baseman's homer Tuesday gave the Giants a 5-2 lead in the seventh inning. He's up to six long balls, 22 RBI, 30 runs scored, 13 doubles and five stolen bases while slashing .243/.303/.411 over 48 contests. While his .714 OPS is notably down from last year, he seems to have turned a corner in May by batting .279 after hitting just .212 in April. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:49 am
  • Matt Chapman has two hits, HR in loss
Matt Chapman went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in a loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Chapman had three of the four hardest-hit balls on the Giants during the game. He had a 113.1 mph groundout, a 106.4 mph double, and a 104.8 mph home run that traveled 414 feet. He also added another 103.2 mph groundout, so it’s safe to say he was seeing the ball pretty well on Tuesday. The veteran is now 19-for-68 (.279) with two home runs, 15 runs scored, and eight RBI during May. He continues to hit cleanup for the Giants every game and is an underrated fantasy option. • Follow-up exam coming June 5
Encarnacion-Strand (wrist) will have a follow-up exam June 5, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: June 5 represents the four-week mark of Encarnacion-Strand's projected 4-to-6-week timetable as he recovers from a fracture in his right wrist, so the slugging first baseman doesn't look as though he'll be on track to return on the early side of that timeline. Encarnacion-Strand would presumably require a rehab assignment before he's activated from the 10-day injured list. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:55 pm
  • Craig Kimbrel back in closer’s role for Orioles
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde mostly confirmed Monday that Craig Kimbrel is again Baltimore’s closer.

Advice: It’s no surprise after Kimbrel picked up a clean save Sunday, but confirmation is always nice. MASN’s Steve Melewski quoted Hyde as saying: “Well yeah, I think so. Probably. I’m going to see how he feels today. … He looked great yesterday that was awesome. Really happy.” Yennier Cano can be dropped in shallow mixed leagues for now. Rotoworld Monday, 2:24 pm
