    • Anthony Rizzo hits 300th homer in Yankees’ rout
Anthony Rizzo went 4-for-4 and hit his 300th career homer Sunday as the Yankees crushed the Brewers 15-5.

Advice: Rizzo also walked. His homer, which was hit off Janson Junk, would have been out of Just 10 ballparks. It came in his 1,664th game since debuting with the Padres in 2011. He’s hit 57 in 307 games since arriving in New York. The formerly slumping Rizzo has six hits in two days and four homers in his last six games. He’s all of the way up to .277/.341/.446 on the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:14 pm

    • Abner Uribe charged with five runs in relief
Abner Uribe was charged with five runs while getting two outs Sunday against the Yankees.

Advice: This inning never should have gotten started. After Uribe walked Aaron Judge, Alex Verdugo hit a routine double-play ball, except for the fact that Judge managed to deflect the relay with his oven mitt while going into second. It should have been interference, but the umpiring crew wouldn’t make the call. Uribe went on to get Giancarlo Stanton to pop out, but he just couldn’t get the third out from there. His ERA ballooned to 6.92. There’s little doubt that it will recover, but now that he’s down to third in line for saves in Milwaukee, there isn’t much reason to roster him in mixed leagues. • José Quintana gets through eight against Cardinals
José Quintana surrendered only run and three hits over eight innings Sunday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Quintana hadn’t lasted longer than 5 2/3 innings in any of his five starts this season before getting through eight against the feeble Cardinals today. This lowers his ERA to 3.48, but we wouldn’t trust him as a mixed-league guy right now. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:36 pm

    • Erick Fedde pitches into ninth in defeating Rays
Erick Fedde limited the Rays to two runs in 8 1/3 innings and struck out nine as the White Sox completed a three-game sweep with a 4-2 win on Sunday.

Advice: That’s 20 strikeouts in two games and 39 in six starts this season for Fedde. He struck out 14 batters in his final six starts for the Nationals in 2022 before getting non-tendered and going to pitch in Korea for a year. Overall, he’s 2-0 with a 2.60 ERA. It doesn’t seem like he should remain quite this good and the fact that he’s on such a bad team is going to take a toll on his fantasy value, but he’s definitely a much-improved pitcher from his Nationals days. • Christopher Morel returns to Cubs lineup on Sunday
Christopher Morel (hip, elbow) returned to the Cubs’ starting lineup on Sunday.

Advice: Morel was pulled from Saturday’s game after colliding with teammate Alexander Canario in the outfield, but aside from being a bit banged up he’s good to go. Morel is starting at the hot corner and batting cleanup against Tanner Houck and the Red Sox on Sunday night. On the season, the 24-year-old slugger is hitting .219/.296/.365 with three homers, 12 RBI and one stolen base through 26 games. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:02 pm

    • Paul Sewald scheduled to throw bullpen Wednesday
Paul Sewald (oblique) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday.

Advice: The Diamondbacks announced on Saturday that Sewald was having his rehab slowed a bit due to renewed soreness, but it sounds like it’s only a minor issue. He’s still probably going to need another appearance or two in rehab games before he’s cleared to return, but it’s not all doom and gloom for the Diamondbacks’ closer. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:41 pm

    • Good to go Sunday
Morel (hip) is starting at third base and batting cleanup Sunday against the Red Sox.

Advice: The 24-year-old collided with Alexander Canario after making a running catch in the outfield Saturday but is apparently no worse for wear. Morel fell into a 1-for-32 slump over nine contests in mid-May, but his bat has come alive over his past six games with a .781 OPS. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:34 pm

    • Takes seat Sunday
Pasquantino is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: With the Royals wrapping up their series with a day game and with ace lefty Tarik Skubal on the bump for the Tigers, Kansas City manager Matt Quatraro likely felt that it was an opportune time to give the lefty-hitting Pasquantino a game off. Pasquantino had started in each of the Royals' last 14 games and had gone hitless over the past five contests. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:20 am
    • Vinnie Pasquantino gets Sunday off vs. Tigers
Vinnie Pasquantino is out of the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Tigers.

Advice: Pasquantino has gone hitless over his last five games, and the 26-year-old will take a seat for Sunday’s contest with tough lefty Tarik Skubal on the bump for the Tigers. Salvador Perez draws the start at first base with Freddy Fermin behind the plate and Adam Frazier the designated hitter. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:52 am
